  • 3. Outlook Calender Problem
I have a problem that I hope you can help me out with. I have a calendar that I have created below my default Outlook calendar that I use for appointments for co- workers. When I am in my "sub-tier" calendar and try to create a new appointment for the future, the date is replaced with the current date. I can change it to the date I want when the appointment is open, but, as soon as I save and close it, it shows up on the month view under the current date. When I open the appointment up again the date still shows correct (the date I made it for). After closing the appointment I'll try to drag it to the correct date while in the month view (or any view) and it won't allow me. This only happens in a calendar that I create - whether it be under the default calendar, Inbox, Contacts. When I am in my default calendar I can drag appointments to my "sub-tier" calendar, but, again the dates are missed up in the month view but correct when you open the appointment. I had another user logon to my system and try the same thing with no problems. When I used another system the problem followed me. Can you help me? Thanks, Mark Woodhouse XXXX@XXXXX.COM (310) 970-0007 ext. 1139 (310) 863-9954 - cell

I'm trying to mail merge one document. I have formatted letter, inserted data from Access, and then merged to email with no hassle at all. However, I would also need to attach 2 additional files plus welcome message to all emails, but, I could not find the way around that. Any comments please.... P.S. I have some intermediate experience in VB/VBA if it helps

Win7 can't remember window size of Office 2007 apps after update

Postby bW9vblNsaWNl » Thu, 11 Feb 2010 12:53:01 GMT

After I did an update of nVidia 9600 gt driver in Win7 64bit 'Windows
Update', no longer is the window size of ANY Microsoft apps that were open at
the time of the update remembered (after I resize them, then close them then
reopen them).

It didn't affect all apps - Firefox was fine, but Internet Explorer, & all
MS Office apps can no longer remember the size I made their windows.

It didn't help to put the old driver back - in fact it made it worse, as by
then I had even more apps open, and now none of those can't remember the
window size either.

There must be some place in the registry where a change got made for each of
these programs that can be fixed?

Thanks for your help.

2.Word 2007 in Win7 - window keeps changing size

I'm running Word 2007 on my Win7 Ultimate x64 system. The window for my word
document keeps changing size. I will set the window to cover 1/2 of the horz
width and the full height of my screen.
1) When I close word and reopen it is about half the height of my screen and
less than 1/2 the width of my screen plus the window is offset from the last
position.
2) I resize and position the window, click on something in the TOC, word
advances to the correct location but at the same time it will resize my
window to half of the vertical screen height.
3) If I've used the auto shake function in Win7 (drag the window by the
title bar to the far left of my screen and release) the window is properly
sized, but again it I click on something in the TOC, word goes to the correct
location, window is reduced in size and most of the window is off to the left
edge of my screen. Sometimes when this happens I go through MS Hell trying to
reposition my window, e.g. it remains stuck mostly off of my screen. Grabbing
the title bar does not work. I must grab the right-edge of the window, drag
it to the right, now I can grab the title bar and position my window and then
resize the window.
4) Other actions seem to also cause the window to change size

Does anybody know how to stop this madness?

3.Customizing window size or remembering previous size

Everytime I create a new query, the design view window that opens is wide.
That is, the window spans the width of the desktop (Access is running full
screen). I tend to use the work space with lots of stuff open like the
assistance menu. I always have to adjust the size of the query design-view
window. The results window also opens to the full width of the desktop. Is
there a way to make the program remember the size of the previous window?
