  • 1. Expression web - silent install
    Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but how can I install Expression Web Designer silently? The main office 2007 setup program uses setup /admin to create the answer file and then setup /adminfile to use it but this doesn't seem to work for Expression Web so what do I need to do?

    Hello, I will try my best to explain the issue so that hopefully someone can help me. In my orginization we don't use exchange for our email. our email is outsourced outside the company. our domain for our company is companynamecorp.com but or email addresses for our users are companynamecc.com. notice the diffrence of corp.com for the domain and cc.com for the email. when i first setup sharepoint we were using Sharepoint Portal Server 2003 (SPS 2003). when i wanted to add a new user to a site i would go to the "add users" and eneter their email address XXXX@XXXXX.COM and it would find our user in our active directory, fill in their AD username and then send a welcome email to their address at XXXX@XXXXX.COM . Due to the DST change this year i upgraded the SPS 2003 server to the latest Sharepoing server 2007 (MOSS 2007) and now when i add users it ALWAYS wants to send the welcome emails to the user using the domain name as the email address ( XXXX@XXXXX.COM ) which does not exist and the user never gets the welcome email which is a big problem in my company. Does anyone know how i can get MOSS 2007 to send the welcome emails to the users real address ( XXXX@XXXXX.COM ) again like it used to do in SPS 2003?? I am really desperate so any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike
  • 3. Directory Name is Invalid error
    I just purchased a new HP computer with windows vista. When I went to install my other new purchase; a copy of Office Ultimate 2007 I get the following error. "Directory Name is Invalid" It's not looking good for our hero! If someone would be so kind as to clue me in on how to resolve this issue I would appreciate it.

    After installing Office 2003 on my new Vista Home Premium machine, I get this annoying message upon opening any Office application: Microsoft End User License Agreement - and one must accept EVERY time an app is opened! Hi,

I have Win95b, and am trying to re-install Office 2000, but get this
message:

 "Windows Installer

The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your
support personnel.

I think this is a Win installer/registry problem, the CD looks okay, I
can browse it,etc. I have tried earlier versions of the Windows
installer, same message though.

Although Office 2000 was on this computer sometime ago, there is
nothing anywhere to uninstall the product, so there may be 'remnants'
of Office 2000 in the registry ??

I did try the Windows installer cleanup utility, Office 2000 is not
showing, and if I try to remove other programs, it says, "... file not
found"

Any clues ?

Hi,

Eventually found the offending registry keys, removed them, and the
Office install worked okay. There were a few error messages ,
something about needing to update to the latest DCOM95, and a few
other error messages.

5.Security Warning Message Bar to update External Links in Excel 200 

Hi,  
is it possible to change the Security Warning Message Bar that prompts you 
to update the external links to a dialog box just like the earlier version of 
MS Excel (2003, 2002 ver)?
