Everytime I try to install Student&Teacher from a CD the setup hangs at the point where it says ' Writing files to registry' (the blue bar is about three quarters along its space). I have tried this several times. I have Windows XP SP2 and Microsoft Works Suite 2001 already on my system including Word 2000 SR1. When I cancel the setup, I have lost my old Word. There is also no way to uninstall the elements of S&T that have been loaded (including System Restore) except by re-installing my old Word 2000 SR1 which fortunately does then work again.

I'm trying to install office 2007 through GP from my SBS server. I've edited the PIDKEY value in config.xml (all other customisations are being done through GPO templates) and office 2007 installs onto worksations. I have failed to install Office 2007 trial because I had had installed the Beta version. I have followed the very complex instructions at art ID 927222 to no avail. Will the commercial version of this have the same problem? I want to use Office 2007 alongside Office 2003 - is that my problem? Can the two not be installed together albeit in different folders? Hi I am trying to install Outlook 2003 on a Citrix terminal server. The only way I can get Outlook to use the custom PRF file that I created is to launch Outlook with the /importprf switch. I have tried using the custom install wizard and specifying the existance and location of the PRF file. I also have the HKCU\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Office \11.0\Setup\ImportPRF set to the path of the PRF. But when a user launches Outlook through Citrix is not using this PRF file. I would appreciate help here. I have a trial version of Office Professional 2007 installed on my (work) laptop since mid-February. I have been very satisfied with the product and wanted to get a full license. I obtained the 25-digit Office Professional 2007 activation key through my employer (who has several bulk license keys) and tried to "Convert" my Trial to a full version. However Office repeatedly says that my License Keys are not valid. Funny part is that the same keys work on other systems at work where they have been installed (it's a group license), the only difference being that all those systems had a clean install of Office 2007 from the DVD. 1. Do I also need to re-install Office 2007 for this key to be accepted? 2. Is it due to the fact that I installed the Trial version before we purchased the keys (and presumably before they were generated) that this is not working? 3. Any ideas on how to get this working? I don't want to go through the ordeal of a re-install again. Thanks

In the title bar of the search box I'll get a message that says "not responding". When I CNTRL ALT DLT and look at my system performance it says idle 99%. I just bought the Microsoft Office students & teachers edition. I see that it's cheaper than the standard edition yet it has the same exact programs. My question is, how do they know I'm a student? I recently had to recover my computer and when i went to reinstall Office 2003 it asks for Product Key of course. Well i purchased the upgrade online and got the product key via email which i never erased. Microsoft sent me the backup software disk but it didnt have the product key on it. If i had a full version of Outlook i could get the old email with my product key. I am lost and frustrated can someone help me.
