Can I transfer the office XP on my old computer to my new computer? I'm pretty sure that the installation will look like I have office on two computers, even though it will be installed on only one, (I am planning to format my old computer's Hard Drive) and the activation will fail. Is this true or is there a way to get around this? Thank You, Nate

I would like to add "Binder" to my Office 2000 Professional. Is this possible?

It is on your Office installation CD. Go to Add/Remove and under Office,
select the options to add additional components.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Binder in Office 2000 asked:

2.Upgrade from Office 2000 Pro to Office 2007 Pro

Hi,

First, I'm running XP SP2 with plenty of horsepower and disk space to handle
MSO 2007 Pro. I'm currently running MS Office 200 Pro.

Question: Before I bite the bullet and purchase Office 2007 Pro, I notice
that it comes with Outlook 2007 + BCM. Will I be able to install just the
Outlook 2007 portion? I really don't have any need for BCM.

Thanks in advance for all help.

3.Upgrade From Office 2000 Pro to 2007 Pro

Hello All,

Besides making a backup of .PST files, are there any other files I should

Please let me know.

4.Office 2000 Pro on Win XP Pro SP2 Laptop

I have a new laptop running on Win XP Pro SP2 (fully updated with cricitical
updates).

I would like to install Office 2000 Professional, and update it with Office
2000 SR-1a and SP3.

Laptop is partioned into 4 partitions (C, D, E &F), with the D: partition
intended for Applications (i.e non-OS software)

Questions :

1. Are there any compatibility issues between Office 2000 Pro (including
SR-1a & SP3) and the fully updated Win XP Pro SP2 ?

2.Would installation of Office 2000 Pro adversely change any files critical
for the normal functioning of Win XP Pro SP2 ?

3. Are there any reasons why I should not install Office 2000 Pro on the D:
partition instead of the C: partition ?

Advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you
