  • 1. Office XP and 2003 MUI coexistence
We currently have installed Windows XP Professional English with MUI for German and French on each client. As a first step to go to Office 2003, we want to deploy Outlook 2003 with the same MUI languages. This works great (we customized an MST with ORK), also all MUI languages for Outlook 2003 are working perfectly. The big problem is that all other Office XP applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are loosing its MUI functionality (they are now always in English). A reinstall of the Office XP MUI Languages (German, French) does not resolve this problem. Is there a way that Offixe XP and 2003 MUI can coexist? Please advise. Thanks
  • 2. OE file attachment access
I recently updated from Office 2000 to Office 2003 Pro. When I attempt to view a Word or Excel attached file directly in an Outlook Express 6.0 message, I get an error message that the file cannot be found. If I save it to my hard disk, I can then read the file. Can someone help with a configuration fix perhaps?
  • 3. Normal File
Hi All: I have installed Office 2003 Profesional about three time. I still get the message "The Files Normal already exists. Do you want to overwrite it." What is the cause of this and how can I stop it. It seems like this version of office is as full of bugs as previous versions. Thanks Jamal

After keying in the Product Key it returns the error
message "No valid products Found" and ends the setup
wizard without doing the upgrade. The CDs are Off Xp Pro
Upgrade CDs.

Dell Inspiron 5100
P4 2.6 Ghz, 512Mb Ram
WIndows XP Pro OS

That is correct... it's considered a cross-grade not an upgrade and not
supported. If you have a previous version of Office ....ie Office 2000 or
Office97, they both count as qualifying products.

1.Do I have to remove Office XP SB to upgrade toOffice XP Pro

I currently have office Xp small business & I'm
attempting a upgrade to office XP Pro.
Error 1608 popped up So I'm assuming the upgrade CD
doesn't consider XP Sb as a qualifying product. I know I
can use a 2000 office CD for the qualifying product
according to article 290540 & I understand how to follow
the instruction in article 300655
My question is will I have to remove the XP Sb or can I
install over the top of it with the XP Pro Upgrade ???

2.Off XP Won't Upgrade

I'm trying to upgrade Off XP Small Business to Off XP
Professional just, for Powerpoint, with Off Xp Pro Upgrade
cd's. When I put the Product Key in for the Pro Upgrade
it takes it and then comes back with the message Can't
find Qualifying Product and then ends the upgrade. I've
searched the Knowledge Base to no avail, hence this
request.

Thanks for any help I can get.

3.Office XP won't load after upgrading from 98SE to XP Pro

I installed Win XP Pro over 98SE on a notebook given to me by my employer. The previous owner had istalled MS Office XP. When I try to open one of the apps, I get an error saying that "Microsoft Excel (or Word, etc.) has not been installed for the current user...please re-install." This isn't an attempt to share the software as I'm pretty sure the originals are just gone

Problem: I don't have the Office XP disks to re-install.

Is there any workaround?
Thanks
