Update problem for Office 2003

Postby QXNjbGVwaXVz » Tue, 20 Jun 2006 14:54:02 GMT

Updates download, but will not install.....

I get the following "error" message......

The following updates did not install (or something similar)

Update for Outlook 2003 Junk Email Filter (KB917149)
Security Update for Word Viewer 2003 (KB917346)
Security Update for PowerPoint 2003 (KB916518)
Security Update for Word 2003 (KB917334)

There was no reason(s) given (how rude!)

Any suggestions?

3.Office 2003 update over Office XP install problems...

I chose the upgrade option with Office 2k3 and it worked fine.

But, when I run office update, it tries to install Office XP SP1 which it
downloaded but didnt install. is there a cookie/flag somewhere I can reset
so it looks for Office 2k3 updates and NOT OXP updates?

4.Office update problem Office 2003 sp1 won't install

Hi,
I have problems installing SP-1 for Office 2003.

I keep getting a failed installation message when I try to use the online
update and the same message when I try to install using the full file.

I have looked at the registry as suggested and I have reinstalled office,
still getting the same error.

Strange thing though, one of the other online updates installed no problem,
please help I tearing my hair out.

5.Office 2003 update problem - Please Help!

Hello,

Our company is in the process of upgrading from Office 2002 to Office 2003.
We are encountering a problem with some of our Excel macros. The workbook is
set up with a variety of different request forms, each on its own tab. There
are several shortcut buttons to jump from form to form. Each of these
shortcuts has VB code behind it that simply says:

Sheets(heet 1.Activate
Sheets(heet 2.Activate
Etc.

All of these still work fine. The problem is that the same code doesn work
when it is called from a userform. When the user clicks a button, for
example, the macro successfully runs and the userform is shown. All the
buttons on the form work except for one which bombs on the statement:

Sheets(heet 1.Activate

I tried using a .Select statement instead but that also did not work.
Everything works well in Office 2002, but for some reason after the upgrade,
this consistently bombs in 2003. Has anyone else encountered this, or have
any ideas for a fix?

Thanks,
Mark
