Software for tracking computer usage
by dln » Fri, 28 Oct 2005 02:32:47 GMT
I'm wondering if anybody knows of a software package for Windows that
records how much time is spent by each process and user on the system and
then stores that information in retrievable format for later viewing. What
I'm looking for is a way to determine the overall system utilization over
the course of period of time (week, month, etc...), broken down by user
and/or process, and track it all in a report somehow. Does anything like
that exist?
Thanks.

1.Software For Tracking Usage??
Newbie Question ...
I finally leased a server for my website only. Can anyone suggest (or point
me in the right direction) to any "tracking software" I could load onto my
server (client-side log analysis) WITHOUT having to add some kind of java
code to all my 600 or so pages??
Thanks

2.track computer usage
I have a Win XP that has one limited account with internet access. The
user can only log off not turn off computer. How can I monitor the times
that users are on the internet using IE6? I have a 7 day history file.Is
the history file dated by time of day?
If though I have a sign saying not to log off, can I monitor if a user
logs off?
What other events can I monitor?
3.Have usage rights but cannot play tracks
You mean you downloaded them from the now-defunct MSN Music site. You're
pretty well screwed. See your attorney about a class-action suit. This is
the future of DRM. You buy something and then the company or the technology
goes away and you're screwed.

4.usage data..tracking who shares, who purchases drm windows media f
I am trying to find out how one uniquely identifies a "sharer" of a
particular windows media file with drm encoding. via the license clearing
house model.
Eg: customer A downloads media file from site X. Customer A shares file
with Customer B.
How do you identify the folks that shared these files?
-content id+ key id??
-indiviualized player id?
I believe this is something that is passed in a header to the licensing
clearing house. But since i am rather new with this technology, i could be
completly off.
