Mail - reading messages in newsgroups

Final thing:
anyone else notice if you're reading messages in Windows Mail that there is
an up and a down arrow to read the next / previous messages - as always.
EXCEPT that the down arrow now shows PREVIOUS and the up arrow shows NEXT .
Since when does DOWN = previous ?
< MAIL refresh> just popped up again over this window. I'm done

Well I'm on my X64 Beta 2 and newsgroup reading arrows are correct here.
Clicking NEXT got me thru this thread. In x86 clicking " the down arrow"
reads the previous message rather than reading down and expanded thread.

1.read messages showing up in newsgroup with Hide Read Messages chosen

Something weird has happened to my newsgroups. Using OE through SBC Yahoo I
have Views: Hide Read or Ignored Messages. I look at the subjects in
alphabetical order. I open a newsgroup and the beginning of the list has all
unread subjects, but towards the end of the list there are hundreds of read
messages (unhightlghted/unbolded). Can I fix this somehow?

2.Mail x86 - arrows for reading messages in newsgroups

Does changing whether the messages are sorted "Newest on Top" or "Oldest on
Top" change the orientation of the arrows? I'd try it but I don't have any
mail set up in Vista.

5.Windows Mail clearing read newsgroups

I have had Vista for about a week. Still learning Win. Mail vs the old
Outlook Express in XP.
I have set up mail & Newsgroup accts. That seems ok. My quest. is why in
Newsgroups
do I have to click *catch up* in order for the counter to clear?
In OE they cleared when I went from newsgroup to newsgroup.

Is this just the way WinMail works or did I miss a setting somewhere?
TIA
