  • 1. LifeCam.exe error message
OK. I've been reading the forums here, there, and everywhere trying to find if anyone has found a solution to the "LifeCam.exe has stopped working" error message. I have tried every solution I have read and nothing will make this thing work. Is there anything else that hasn't been tried? I have Live Messenger 8.0 installed. I've tried installing Live Messenger 8.1 but Vista wont allow me to run it. Anyone? Anything?
  • 2. Vista folder view problem
Hi, Do't know with what change in system to correlate this: in the Explorer view of the drive "C:\" and "C:\Program Files\" I see that these 2 folders are treated as Music folders rather than All Items folders, i.e. I see Album, Artist, etc. Hiw can I get rid of this? Opening Organize->Properties for these 2 folders doesn't present you with a "Customize" tab, so I can't choose to display these folders as regular, non-music folders. Any help? Thanks!
  • 3. Quick Books
I'm trying to install Quick Books on my computer with Vista... When installing it tells me it "Could not write Run key" and instalation stops. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!
  • 4. Hard drive crash
Hi, Any ideas on how to retrieve data from a hard drive crash? Kept meaning to backup, but oh well....too late. Thanks.
  • 5. Nothing to like about Vista
This is just a new but messy user interface, nothing more. Microsoft could easily convert XP machines to Vista by distributing some patches, images or skins. I don't see any new operating system at all. By the way I believe XP has much cleaner and easy to use interface logic. There is nothing new here, nothing is easier. I believed transfering files from old XP machine to new Vista was a great remedy, however it is crashed on my case. It transferred much more files than I asked for, and Vista had to crash at least 3 times during that. I gave microsoft 3 out of 10 because of this poor effort.
