Programs dragging in Vista

1.8 GHz Core Duo w/ 3 GB RAM.
Any prog that uses a large amount of memory (BreezeBrowser, Photoshop, Nero,
etc.) will open, but............
Then the screen goes to transparent and says "....(NOT RESPONDING)" at the
top. If I wait it out, it will usually settle down and load. This may
happen again during using the program depending on what I am doing.
What the heck is going on? These are programs that were A- FAST and
B-STABLE under XP.

What version of these programs are you using? All of the programs you named
have released new versions with support for Vista's new security features.

The very latest available. PS just came out with one 5 days ago.
It seems VISTA should be doing some service packs and major updates.
But, that doesn't solve the problem now?

I was wondering of there is a software program to get Windows XP All
Programs List to work like Vista's.
I am running out of room. I know I can set the list to scroll, but

5.Can't Drag and Drop in All Programs Start Menu
Vista Basic x32 sp2.
I formatted my hd today and installed Vista Basic.
All went well but I'm unable to drag folders to other folders in All
Programs|Start Menu.
(I was able to do this previously.)
I'm able to drag and drop shortcuts ok. But, when I drag a folder to an open
folder in the start menu
the line appears but when I release the mouse button it doesn't get dropped.
Any ideas??
