  • 1. CO number in 1'st party model via TAPI
I develop a TAPI software that uses trunk field from LINECALLINFO structure to determine CO's number of incoming call (OPTISET E, HICOM 150 Office). But while using 1'st party connection model I see unmeaningful values in this field. How can I get CO's number of incoming call in 1'st party connection model? Do trunk field contains CO's number in 3'rd party connection model with installed TAPI 170 package on HICOM 150? Also i'm interesting of approx cost of TAPI 170 Basic Package License and Expansion package for 10 clients. I heard that SIEMENS have some program for developers. Is there a link link to english page?

  • 3. TAPI w/ Hi Vol Apps & Newbie Questions
Can TAPI now easily handle high volume apps? The postings I could find directly related to this topic are a few years old, for example, Bruce Pennypacker's note from Jan 1997. I am an applications programmer (foxpro and PowerBuilder if that gives you an idea) but am a hardware doofus and have no experience with TAPI beyond reading Chris Sells' book on TAPI 2.x. I want to write an app to implement a wake up call service (like an auto dialer but with specific times for each call programmed in). Could potentially be 100+ simultaneous calls. Need to have IVR features available on the generated call as well to allow the user to manage their account - request a recall (snooze feature), set the next day's wake up time, etc. Can I use TAPI or should I look at hardware API? What hardware vendors should I be looking at? Do I have to get 100 phone lines from the phone company? How do these phone lines connect to the hardware? Would a T1 line provide what I need? Are there any basic newbie FAQs or good books that would address this kind of info? Thanks so much, GirlCoder

Can TAPI Browser get the values returned in function pointers?

Postby fdecker » Sat, 06 Feb 2010 05:58:06 GMT

For example, If you park a call, the linePark function returns the
address of where the call was parked on a non-directed park in the
lpNonDirAddress pointer. TB doesn't seem to automatically list the
values pointed to by the pointers, nor does there seem to be a way to
look at those areas of memory. Ideas?

Fred,
unfortunately neither "Dump buffer contents" from the left function pane nor
"Log paramters" option does show the relevant mem contents.
