Can I install Windows 98 on my 2nd computer that now has
Windows XP Pro installed (This Win XP Pro is a illegal
copy that came with my used 2nd computer). I have Win 98,
Win 2000 Pro, and Win XP Home OS's; all legal copies with
the Product Key codes, because my computer sales/repair
office convinced me to upgrade each time that I had a
Windows problem.

No, you can't. If XP is loaded to an NTFS partition, you will have to
use fdisk to remove the partition(s) and create one or more fat 32
partitions. After formatting the partitions, you can install W98--if
you need help: http://www.**--****.com/

As far as upgrading to fix problems, you definitely need to find a new
place to do business. If there is one thing you should not do, it is
upgrade a system that is acting flaky.
