I have an old Compaq Presario with Windows 98. My new laptop is a Dell Inspiron with Windows XP. The Dell has a 128 MB USB memory key that the Compaq won't recognize. Is there a download available? If so which one? Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!
  • 5. Dial Up Connection Box Appears At Start Up
I have two older model IBM computers, both with Windows 98. On start up on both computers, the Dial Up Connection box pops up (actually several because I keep having to close a number of them). Initially it started out with just one Dial Up Connection box popping up, but now I have to close maybe 6 or 7. Everything else, including the dial up networking seems to work fine. These boxes pop up when the computer starts up from a cold or warm boot. This problem just sort of occurred one day and now has gotten worse. Any suggestions? Why is the Dial Up Connection box popping up on start up? Thanks for any assistance.

MSBackup .qic file damaged

Postby Jim » Thu, 09 Oct 2003 01:53:57 GMT

Is it possible to repair a .qic file that is reporting no
catalog? It was generated to file and then copied to a cd-
rw. The disk was bad, but the file was recovered using
ISOBuster. It now reports "no catalog." Any suggestions?
