  • 3. Managing All Programs Menu? How Too?
Hi Harry, The method I use is to create subfolders under All Programs and move the appropriate shortcuts to these folders. For instance I use Utilities. Multimedia, Internet etc. Use whatever you want. To create the subfolders right click on the start button and sellect " Explore all Users " In the explorer screen add directries under Start Menu\Programs\ ( New folders here ) The new folders will apear under the All Programs than you can drag and drop to organize the situation. Thank you. But I am not sure what to do at that window. I am not the greatest when it comes to users. missing quick launch icon

Postby bWVzc21lcmRw » Wed, 27 Oct 2004 21:01:07 GMT

My "show desktop" icon has disappeared from my quick launch tool bar. I have
not been able to satisfactorly bring it back. If I create a short cut to the
desk top it shows the icons in desktop under the user's desktop folder. I
have had SP2 on for over a month, this happened within the last week.

Click Start, Run and type the command regsvr32 /n /i:U shell32
(The Show Desktop SCF file should now be available)

4.quick launch icon missing

There were originally two icons next to each other in quick launch. One was
show desktop and the other took all of the open windows and displayed them
kinda on top of each other so that you could see a snapshot of what was open
all at one time. That second icon is now missing. Can someone tell me how to
get it back? Thanks TIA.

5.Quick launch icons are gone and missing

Hi, Im using Vista in a domain.
While logging into the local user, I've got all icons and buttons and the
quick launch icons are there to joy my day :)
While logging into the domain account, they are gone and I can't restore them.
I've tried anything I can think of and nothing work.
Even when checking the box of "show quick launch" the Vista just ignores it.

Any ideas??

Thanks

Ellad
