  • 1. plug and play seemingly not working
Hello, I recently replaced my HDD and completely reinstalled the OS (winXP). After installing SP1 and SP2 I proceeded to installling all of my peipherals. As I tried to instal all of these USB peripherals I ran into the same code 10 error over and over. A few of these devices were plug and play and others required the CD. Regardless, none of them were being installed successfully. I tried all of these devices on another comp and they work fine. On the computer having the installation problems, I am having no other problems whatsoever. Let me be clear in saying that I am having NO problems whatsoever on the affected HHD besides the peripherals not installing with or without a disk. The new HDD is a western and the OS install was very clean. The only problem I am having is with the devices NOT installing on my USB ports. Any prompt help is appreciated.

  • 3. Burner drive not being read
Hi, My problem is that my DVD-R/CD-RW drive is not being recognized in most of my programs. If I right click the drive itself, it says that it is working finea nd that windows recognizes it as a recording drive. However, neither Media Player nor Nero notice recognize that there is a drive. I have a Daemon tools virtual drive if that makes a difference. Any help would be great, as I'd hate to finally have a DVD drive and not be able to burn movies. Thanks for any help.
  • 4. CODE 39 - Microsoft System Mgmt. BIOS Driver
I noticed in my Device Manager there is a yellow exclamation point next to Microsoft System Management BIOS Driver. When I opened it is says the driver can't be loaded as it's either corrupted or missing with a code 39. What do these drivers control and how do I get them loaded so they are not corrupted/missing? Thanks for any help you can give. Service Pack 2 really messed up my computer! Couldn't even open my computer once it was downloaded and had to use my XP disk to get it to open. Took SP2 off and now my computer does all kinds of things it never did before, namely, it takes forever on Startup to get past "Windows Staring Up" screen!!! Grrrrrr! Anyone else have this problem??
  • 5. Installed XP SP2 - USB drivers won't function

3.Can't install Scanner LG 600P-EPP, UI3RD_32.dll missing

Dear All
An installation problem
My System: Toshiba laptop, satellite 1905-277,
Windows XP Home Edition

I tried to install the LG 600P-EPP flatbed scanner.
Installation consists of three programs namely:
Xerox TextBridge
MGI Photo Suite
Driver TWAIN
I choose to install all.
At the end it gives the following error message:
windows name: TBridge.exe error
Can't find UI3RD_32.dll

I searched the installation CD for the said file but couldn't find.
What should I do to install it.
Also I thought TWAIN is a brand name but seams that it is a general
technical word and has something to do with Scanners. Would be happy if you
could guide me to find out the meaning as well.

Very Sincerely Yours
