  • 1. Problems with USB installation
This is kind of a weird problem. I have an Olympus Digital Camera with USB support which was working fine (as far as I could tell) with Windows XP. However, recently, a problem occurs. When I hook it up and turn it on, the New Hardware Wizard comes up with an error message saying it can not install the new device. I think the key line is: "The specified service does not exist as an installed service." The weird thing is, when I click finish, the camera appears just fine as Drive L, which is where it should be, and it works just fine as a USB drive. However, in Device Manager there is a Yellow Caution sign next to the device. A couple of times I saw the caution sign next to its volume listing as well. It does show up in the USB listings as a Mass Storage Device. This gets weirder - a couple of times, it did not give me any of the error messages and no yellow signs, but at those times it did not appear as a drive. And if the camera is on and connected when the computer is rebooting, it hangs before the Loading WIN XP screen appears. So, what is happening? Thanks, Dave

  • 4. Using 1.44 mb disk on a LS-120
I am having a problem with my LS-120 superdisk drive. I can read and write to the superdisks, however, with the 1.44 disk I get disk is not formatted. When I try to format I get a message saying the disk cannot be formatted or Windows was unable to complete the format. If I try to "Create an MS-DOS startup disk" I get the message "an Unexpected I/O error has occured". I am desperate.

3.Can't install Scanner LG 600P-EPP, UI3RD_32.dll missing

Dear All
An installation problem
My System: Toshiba laptop, satellite 1905-277,
Windows XP Home Edition

I tried to install the LG 600P-EPP flatbed scanner.
Installation consists of three programs namely:
Xerox TextBridge
MGI Photo Suite
Driver TWAIN
I choose to install all.
At the end it gives the following error message:
windows name: TBridge.exe error
Can't find UI3RD_32.dll

I searched the installation CD for the said file but couldn't find.
What should I do to install it.
Also I thought TWAIN is a brand name but seams that it is a general
technical word and has something to do with Scanners. Would be happy if you
could guide me to find out the meaning as well.

Very Sincerely Yours
