I use .NET Framework 1.1 with device update 4. When I render my page to "html32" by configuration at web.config, mobile phone (Nokia 6230) cannot display the page with the error is no gateway response. But if I change the config to render to "wml11", it can display correctly. I know the specification of the phone supports html 4.0, why the page cannot be display? Otherwise, I Sara T.

Call "Web Service" From "ASP.NET Mobile web application"

Postby Isambella via DotNetMonster.com » Tue, 12 Jul 2005 15:37:26 GMT

Hi,

I am using "ASP.NET Mobile web application with "Web Services". I test the
Web Service using web project and it works correct. But when I am trying to
use it from the Mobile project I get the following error:

"System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process
request. ->> Parameter count mismatch."

The error is in line 42.

Line 41:Public Function GetWhoFacade(ByRef WhoP As WhoServiceInput) As
WhoServiceOutput
Line 42: Dim results() As Object = Me.Invoke("GetWhoFacade", New
Object() {WhoP})
Line 43: WhoP = CType(results(1),WhoServiceInput)
Line 44: Return CType(results(0),WhoServiceOutput)

Any Ideas?

Thx in advance
Isambella

3.Problem calling C# web service with Ref parameter from a VB.NET Web application

Hello,

I have an asp.net Web app in vb.net trying to call a C# web service
which takes a reference parameter. I tried a simple C# web app to call
the Web service and it works perfectly. However, when I try it in the
vb.net web app, I run into XML definition errors. Looks like the proxy
class is not able to generate the correct XML with the ref parameter.
Here is error:

The element 'urn:test-com:document:test:rfc:functions:T_RETURN has
invalid child element 'urn:test-com:document:test:rfc:functions:item'.
Expected 'urn:test-com:document:test:rfc:functions:ITEM_NUMBER
urn:test-com:document:test:rfc:functions:PO_ITEM_NO

Here is how I am declaring the ref parameter in vb.net

Dim oReturnObj(0) as com.abc.qa.ZRETURNOBJ
oReturnObj(0) = New com.abc.qa.ZRETURNOBJ

Any help will be great.

4.Handling multiple Asynch Web Service Calls from an ASP.NET Web Page

As the Subject indicates I have written a web page that makes use of
several web service calls.

Some of the web service calls are very fast so they called
synchronously. Some web service calls are longer running so I call
them asynch so that they can all run concurrently. The user base for
the application that I am creating demands the partial response of the
faster calls and a gradual update of their web page info from the
balance of the slower calls as the responses come in. .

How do I go about getting the results of the asynch calls out to the
web page?

It would be ideal if the page refreshed automatically.
