  • 1. Wireless app deployment
How do I practically deploy a wireless application so that the mobile devices in a field can access it? As far as I understand, ASP.NET mobile control emits WML, but how does a wirelss phone actually gets it? Do I need to host a web site somewhere, or do I need a router or do I send my app to a wireless provider? Can somebody point me to an information about it, because I have not found it... Thanks, -Stan
  • 2. Text Viewer in Mobile Web Form
Hi, I am new to Mobile Web Forms. I want to view a RFT document on the PDA using a mobile web application. I can convert the RFT to HTML on the server if required. What control, can I use to view such a document? Can any ASP.NET server control that does the above be used in the mobile environment. Please advise. Thanks.

  • 4. Problems with XHTML devices (SonyEricsson T300)
Hello, I've been experiencing a problem with a SonyEricsson T300 and T68 (xhtml-preferred devices), after DU 3.0. When I try to navigate to a page that contains a SelectionList control, the browser in the phone can't render the page and gives an error. The same behavior occurs in the simulator. When I change the deviceupdate3.config in the sections related to the models T300 and T68 as below: From: preferredRenderingMime = "application/xhtml+xml" preferredRenderingType = "xhtml-basic" To: preferredRenderingMime = "text/vnd.wap.wml" preferredRenderingType = "wml11" The site works fine. Have some one else been experiencing this? Thanks in advance. HF.
