hi, i'm new to mobile computing.. i have a project that i need to develop within .net for mobile services, so that people with enabled phones or pda can access the site. we first have to get a host provider who will broadcast these pages so we can test our app, not all web hosting providers do that. i would appreciate if i could get some recomendations of providers? i don't know how these providers call themselves, so i don't know what to search for on the internet. is there some site that lists them? are these providers regional, or do they broadcast all over the country? thanks, ray

Hi In my mobile application I have a label and a selectionlist on the same form. I want the text on the label to be bold, which I manage with the line 'lbl.Font.Bold = BooleanOption.True;' however it has influence on the text in the selectionlist as well - even though I specifically try to set it 'BooleanOption.False' - does anyone have a suggestion to what I do? trine

Hello. I have developed analagous ASP.NET and Mobile ASP.NET applications. I have this code snippet that examines the request's browser capabilities. Using the PPC emulator that came with the PPC 2003 SDK, "IsMobileDevice" always comes back explicitly as false. Is there something further I am supposed to do? With machine.config perhaps? If (Request.Browser("IsMobileDevice") = "true") Then Response.Redirect("../MobileVersion/Default.aspx", True) Else Response.Redirect("../NonMobileVersion/Default.aspx", True) End If --Isaac

mobile pages on Nokia 3650

Postby Koen Hoorelbeke » Thu, 08 Jan 2004 23:19:54 GMT

Hi there,

I've developed a mobile site (IMode specifically, but is actually a normal
mobile site) of our website. However when I try to go there with a Nokia
3650 (i-mode compatible), I get "Bad answer from origin server". All the
other phones I tested it with do work.

I suspect it is somewhere a setting on the server, but don't really know
where to look.

Any help, tips, suggestions are very welcome. I'm getting a bit desperate.

Tx in advance.

Koen Hoorelbeke.

When I authenticate the user, NMB 4.0 doesnt reflect the persisted

state is persisted if I test it with a an actual nokia 6230(GPRS), the
