  • 1. Mobile Navigation - newbie
Hi All, I'm starting to have a look at ASP.NET web pages for mobile devices. My first proof of concept project is a simple app for a Nokia 3410 (our company mobile phones). I'm having a little trouble with navigating between forms and pages. A link that references another form on the same page (#form2) works fine. A link that references another aspx page (page1.aspx) doesnt work on the phone but does in Nokia's mobile browser tool (4.0). ActiveForm = form2 doesn't work on the phone but does in the browser tool. Server.Transfer("Page2.aspx") on the back of a button doesn't work on the phone but does in the browser tool. When the above actions dont work on the phone, I just get the message page not found. Any idea's or am I missing the point completely Thanks in advance, Pete.

Postby QWxiZXJ0byBUcm9uY2hpbg » Thu, 16 Dec 2004 17:43:05 GMT

I'm developing ad WebForm application for Pocket PC and my device (datalogic
Viper 9600 CE) include a keyboard.
When the page is loaded on PocketIE and the any textbox get the focus, the
input panel automatically appears.
How can I disable input panel ?

3.InputPanel enter key disabled in WM5??

Hi, I have created a very simple program with just a label, textbox and a

on Load, i set the inputpanel.enable = TRUE, so it will show up at the start.
however, all the keys on the keyboard work, but NOT the ENTER key???

When u press on the enter, it sounds like it has been disabled (with a blip
no keyCode or keyChar return.

4.Pocket IE 2002 vs Pocket IE 2003 and Content-Disposition

I have an Mobile ASP.NET page that opens a file and does
a response.write file to the browser. As you may know,
you have to set the content-type and content disposition
so the target machine knows what to do (i.e. open
associated application) For Example:

Pagename: createfile.aspx

Response.AddHeader ("Content-Type", "application/octet-
Response.AddHeader ("Content-Dispoistion", "attachment;

The problem I have encountered is that on PPC 2002,
Pocket IE ignores the content-disposition header filename
attribute. So when the user is prompted to save the
file, the suggested filename is 'createfile.aspx' instead
of 'test.doc'. PPC 2002 Phone Edition and PPC 2003 both
understand it.

My question is: Is there a workaround or update
available for PPC2002 that will enable Pocket IE to
understand content-dispostion filename attribute?

Thanks in advance,

Alonso Portillo
