  • 1. DefaultCredentials fail
I am unable to run in an ASP.NET web application the sample code from the SDK to use the MSCRMServices. The sample's logon procedure is bizUser.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials; try { Microsoft.Crm.Platform.Proxy.CUserAuth _cUserAuth = bizUser.WhoAmI(); I get this error: "SOAP Server Application Faulted <detail><error><code>80040225</code><description>The specified user is either disabled or is not a member of any business unit.</description><file>d:\crm\build\3297 \src\platform\security\crmsecurity\secmain.cpp</file><line> 2281</line></error></detail>" My ASP.NET server is not the CRM server. The virtual directory is set for only Integrated windows authentication (anonymous access is disabled). CRM is the MSDN download version 1.2. I can run the SOAP calls OK if I create credentials using bizUser.Credentials = new NetworkCredential ("user","pwd", "domain"); However, for my application, I need to identify and use the CRM security context of the logged-on user.

I am interested in creating a timeline of events. Is there a way to do this using Office 2000 software?
  • 3. Mail Merge with Custom Fields
Greetings, I have some recollection regarding a problem with Mail Merging custom fields from the Sales for Outlook Client into Word. Anyone have experience with this? I'd be curious to know if anyone has testing this kind of thing in version 1.2. Thanks in advance, Steve Chambers Rimrock Corporation
  • 4. HELP! Sales Process Tasks with No Dates
Hi, Have implemented a sales process and it works fine. However for each of the steps it puts in a date when it is created. For instance if our first step is "Discovery" if you create a new opportunity it puts into today's date as the due date. Once that step is completed the next step is created with the current date. We do not have defined times between the steps, so on my sales process all my due dates are set to 0. What we would like is for the due date to be blank when the step is created like what happens when you manually add an activity. How can I do this? We have a whole lot of new opportunities getting entered into our system the next couple days and this whole date thing is a pain for us. Thanks. Alan
  • 5. "migrate" existing opportunities to new workflow?
Hi, weeks ago I had created a sales process with 5 stages. Meanwhile the sales team entered many opportunities. Only now I noticed that I had a spelling mistake in one of the stage names. After correcting the mistake all existing opportunities work still with the old faulty sales process. Now, no sales report that group by sales process make any sense, because it recognize two different sales processes, although its just the same... How can I "migrate" existing opportunities to the new process? Just stop and start the sales process in the opportunity didn't correct or update the process. And I can't delete and create all opportunities again by hand!? I couldn't find a solution yet... Thanks for every help! Simone

Export CRM-contacts to Outlook Global Contact (CRM 1.2)

Postby TWF0dGlqc1c » Sat, 28 Jan 2006 22:59:03 GMT

Hi,

I want to export all the contacts in CRM to the Outlook Global Contact, so
all the non-CRM-users can find contacts with there phonenumber etc. There is
no support for this at all in CRM 1.2

I can do this manually. First export all the contact to Excel and from there
back in Global Contact. Now the problem is the 'Save as'-field. You can only
set this field by opening the contact, set the field and save it. For one
contact is this no problem, for 5000 contacts it is.

When I import the contacts I can't set the value of this field. It has a
default value, but I need another one. Does anyone have the same problem and
have a solution??

With regards, Mattijs
