  • 1. 61883 Talk
Greetings, I am trying to communicate with 61883 to get the Talk function setup. I've successfully setup all the pins, and created a connection handle (it looks valid anyway). When I try to invoke Av61883_Talk with no flags and the connection handle as a param, it consistently returns STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER. Has anyone else seen this behavior, and if so how can it be corrected. TIA
  • 2. AVStream : failed to connect two pins by GraphEdit manually
Dear All I implement a MPEG2 HW encoder filter with a "MPEG-2 PS" (program stream) output pin. I met a problem when I tried to connect this "MPEG-2 PS" pin to the "MPEG-2 Stream" pin of "MPEG-2 Demultiplexer" filter (DirectShow) through GraphEdit manually. I got a error code "0x80040217" and it meant "No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connectiion.". I set MajorFormat to KSDATAFORMAT_TYPE_VIDEO (use KS_DATARANGE_MPEG2_VIDEO for datarange description), SubFormat to MEDIASUBTYPE_RGB24 or MEDIASUBTYPE_UYVY and Specifier to KSDATAFORMAT_SPECIFIER_MPEG2_VIDEO. I traced my encoder filter codes and found that AVStream called IntersectHandler, DispatchSetFormat and DispatchCreate routines when tried to connect these two pins. And all these 3 routines returned STATUS_SUCCESS to AVStream. It seems no problem within these 3 routines but I still couldn't connect the above 2 pins successfully. I have no idea about this problem. Could anyone give me some suggestions I have one more question. What values should I set to dwStartTimeCode, cbSequenceHeader and bSequenceHeader fields in MPEGVIDEOINFO2 structure Thanks Edward
  • 3. Check For Windows Version In Tape Driver?
Is there a function I can use in a tape driver to check Windows Version (also SP would be helpful)? I want to be able to check for Windows 2000. My goal is to have a unified tape driver for W2K, XP and W2K3 but there are some specific differences in W2K that I need to take care of. My driver source code is based on 4mmdat.c sample code from the DDK. Thanks!
  • 4. PsGetVersion ?
Would someone be able to provide a code sample of this function? I have looked in the DDK but there isn't any sample code available Thanks!
  • 5. Event Log
Can I write to a costum event log from a driver From reading the related articles in the MSDN it is my understanding that IoWriteErrorLogEntry() only writes to the "system" log.. Thanks Shahar.

Your description (bsp, bib, tiny kernel, etc) doesn't make any sense to me.
Are you using Windows DDK or something else to build your driver?

You'd get better help in WinCE/plat. builder newsgroups (not here).

This is Windows CE. The OP sent the message to wrong forum -
microsoft.public.windowsce.platbuilder is more suitable.
