Hi there, I switched on the register value Counter=1 on my pda to record performance .stat file, and during testing my app returned an error when it tried compacting my databse. When i switched off Counters=0 it went compacted the database no problems. This usually happens i think when the sdf is being used by another app / process i guess. Is this a known thing? thanks, Paul

Create control in VS2005 that goes in component tray

Postby Evan Camilleri » Sun, 18 Jun 2006 17:59:04 GMT

VS2005:

I want to create a control which stays in the tray so I created it
inheriting Component but even though it compiles it does not show up in the
toolbox.

If I inherit from System.Windows.Forms.Control, it shows up with properties
correctly in property window.

How can I create a control in the Component Tray (like the timer)?

Inheriting from System.ComponentModel.Component should work. Can you explain
the steps that you're taking in some more detail?
