I have a Windows 2000 / Exchange 2000 installation - up to date with all the service packs and service pack roll-ups. Recently the Address book in outlook has been extremely slow to appear on any client. It has gone from being instantaneous to taking up to 12 seconds to appear - sometimes even causing the client computer to hang. Has anyone experienced this before? What is the solution?

We currently are running Exchange 2003 and have most of our users accessing their email outside of the organization using Outlook web Access. We have an issue with some Windows XP SP2 systems that when you go to send an email and perform spell check, the function does not work. It comes back with a message. "The Spelling In this Item can't be checked. Try again later. The problem I am having is that I can't point out what would be causing this. On some systems it works and on others it does not. I know this is a very vague question but I was wondering if anyone has seen similar results with the spell check in OWA

Hi, I have Exchange 2000 sp3 sitting on windows 2000 server sp4. Exchange works well in all aspects except OWA, where when you log in, the inbox starts loading but then shows no contents and hangs at loading... does anyone know a fix for this? thanks Tony.
  • 5. Disable Read Receipts from monitoring accounts
We provide monitoring to heads of department by setting up a mailbox for the purpose of monitoring, a rule that copies all messages of their department to that mailbox, and then add it as an additional mailbox to the user (after setting the right permissions on the Inbox folder). However when users request a read receipt, they get both a receipt from the recipients, and from the user monitoring e-mail. How can we prevent this? The options not to send read receipts in Outlook only apply to internet e-mail, not internal.

Qmail to Exchange 2003 server migration

Postby Johnny Chow » Fri, 08 Oct 2004 16:47:00 GMT

Hi,
I am planning to migrate from QMail to Exchange 2003 server. I am OK with
Exchange setup and administration but not sure how to migrate Qmail box to
Exchange 2003. I will be appreciated if you can show me the right
direction.

I remembered Microsoft usually have free tech support for first
implementation of their products. Are they still doing that?

Thanks in advance,

Johnny Chow

2.Migration from QMail to Exchange 2003/.PST Import

This may be a relatively simple solution but I haven't been able to
figure it out, so I'd appreciate your assistance.

I have a POP3 email server (QMail) with Outlook as the mail client and
need to migrate to Exchange 2003. I created the user accounts and
mailboxes in Exchange. I then saved the .pst file so I can import it
into the Outlook profile created when I connect it to Exchange. I was
told that the Inbox should sync so that all my emails will be uploaded
to my Exchange mailbox. How can I "migrate" the .pst file from the
POP3 server to Exchange so that I can have all my emails saved and a
copy of it on the Exchange server? Is this possible? I appreciate
your assistance!!

Thanks!!
