  • 2. Can't see exchange 2003 server in Exchange 5.5 Admin
Hello, We just deployed a new Exchange 2003 server into a mixed mode 5.5 site. After one day, if I go into Exchange System Manager under that admin group, I can see all of the 5.5 server info (i.e. IMS, Site Connectors) however, if I go into Exchange 5.5 admin and expand the site, I can see the new Exchange 2003 server under "servers", however there is no plus sign to expand the server and see further config info. Any ideas? Thanks
  • 3. Multiple Email Domain Problem
Hi, i have Exchange 2000 SP3 running on Win 2000 Server SP4. Everything works perfectly with internal and external email until I add another external domain. eg. domainA.com and domainB.com have been working for a couple of years. I have had to add domainC.com and make this the primary address. When users send emails to other internal users, Exchange does not recognize that domainC.com is internal and tries to send out through the internet, yet domainA.com and domainB.com still work fine. External emails from all domain names works. any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks Tony.
  • 4. Exchange Global Addresses
Hi All, In Exchange 5.5 if a user wanted their e-mail forwarding to their own private hotmail (or similar) address, you could set up a global recipient and forward mail to that address - How do you go about it in Exchange 2003? I can't seem to find anywhere to create a global address - any ideas or help would be very much appreciated. TIA Mark
  • 5. Calendar locks up Outlook
I have 1 user whose Outlook 2000 locks up whenever she clicks on the Calendar folder. This just started happening. No other users (700 others) are having problems. I exported the Calendar to a PST, but opening the PST locks up outlook too. Tried /cleanfreebusy and /cleanreminders, no success. Logging on to her Calendar from my workstation does the same thing, so it's something server side. Is Article ID : 318656 my only hope? I have a Veritas mailbox level backup I could try, just looking for other suggestions first. Thanks!

Need to reformat server...can I do this without having to export

Postby QWRhbQ » Sun, 06 Mar 2005 16:29:02 GMT

I need to reformat a server that has exchange 2003 on it. Do I need to export
all the mailboxes to pst or can I just turn the services off and copy the
data folders from the exchange folders? I plan on using the same server name
and webaddress.\

Thanks

4.Needs to be done on DNS server, not Exchange

Marco:

MX record changes are done on your Internet DNS server. Contact your ISP if
they administer that. All you'll have to do on Exchange is to add the new
email address to each mailbox or DL that needs it. Each object can have
multiple email addresses.

Martin

5.What needs to be done on Exchagne 2000 server when replacing our P

Hi, we are physically replacing our primary domain controller with another
w2k server. We've already made this new server a DC with global catalog
enabled. We'd like to turn off the global catalog check box on our PDC.
What needs to be done on our exchange mail server before we pull that
trigger? How does exchange interacts with global catalog?

Thanks!
