  • 2. Adding 2nd server in an Exchange 5.5 environment
Is there an easy way to move the IMS connector from one Exchange 5.5 server to another? I recently added a new Exchange 5.5 server running on Windows 2000( No AD). Now I would like to move the IMS connector so I can remove the original mail server from the network. ( The Original server is a dog) I have just started this process and the goal is to get my old P2 system out of the network and replace it with a much faster Dual Xeon box, then upgrade the new mail server to Exchange 2000.. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... -- Dale

I have a ? charcter in all Web Outlook Emails sent to and from my Exchange 2003 server. It apears at the beginning of each message. ex. ?<META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> I would like to know which file in Exchange holds the message form or Meta tags for web Outlook. I have serached and found the following files which contain the <META HTTP-EQUIV expression. Webclientutil.js, dlg_editsignature.js, utils_forms.js and xmldisplay.xls. • 4. Snyc PDA to Public Folders
I'm running Exchange 2003 on a Windows 2000 server and I have some pda's that need to sync contacts that are in the public folders on the Exchange Server. The normally use ActiveSync for inbox, calendar, etc. but you cannot sync public folders using the normal Microsoft software. After researching the options, I chose a software called "Intellisync" from Pumatech. I installed the software and configured it so that it would sync with the public folders but after a couple of syncs, I began getting errors. After contacting technical support, I was informed that the errors received by the pds's and the Intellisync software resulted when the exchange public folder database became corrupted. Does anyone know if this is true? If it is true, how do I repair my database? Also, how do I maintain the database so that it doesn't become corrupted? Any help would be appreciated.

How to clean the message queue

Postby KevCar » Fri, 14 Dec 2007 02:38:55 GMT

I have over 26,000 megaes in the queue. Most likely spam or NDR,s, not sure.
They have <> at the far left. Not sure where they are coming from but would
like to delete all of them and not have to delete them 1-1000 at a time. Is
there a command that does this. I am running exchange 2007 sp1.

2.Cleanest way to "dead end" an E2K7 queue?

I have a situation where I'd like to "dead end" an E2K7 queue.

Right now I've got a transport rule that's identifying the messages by the
sender and subject lines, and redirecting them to an address in a "made up"
domain, configured with an unreachable address as it's smarthost.

It works, but seems like an ugly way to go about it.

Is there a better way to create and route mail to a non-delivery queue?
