  • 2. External email goes to random second (external) recipient!
Folks, I have a strange issue, and just wanted to find out if anyone's had a similar problem. We're running Exchange 2k - fully patched, etc. An external email came in destined for one of our employees, and was delivered successfully to said employee. However, this email was also mysteriously sent to a contact - not in our global address book or any other place - of another employee! This contact does NOT know the external sender or the recipient. I'm just baffled - I can't see any info in the headers that would explain why it was copied to the external recipient! thanks, roah
  • 3. Direct Booking a Resource in Exchange
Does anyone know a way to direct book a resource in Exchange, but before the resource is officially booked, require a resource administrator to approve it? For example, I want to Book Conference Room A. In the way that KB 291616 describes, but before the room is actually booked, I need one more step - an approval by the "owner" of the resource. Is this possible?
  • 4. Free Busy - Public Folder Replication Issues
Hello: Having issues with free busy time and calendaring. We are right now in the middle of migrating from 5.5 to 2003. Users on the 5.5 server are having sporadic issue seeing others free/busy time. On the 2003 server, this feature is not working at all in OWA. If I look at the system folders in Exchange System Manager, I can see the free busy folder which it says is home on the 5.5 server. No replication status is listed which I assume is the problem. I had thought the Public folders were migrated over which is apparently not the case since they are still homed on the 5.5 box.....is this a correct assumption? What corrective action can I take here. Thanks in advance JS
  • 5. Printing Members of Distribution List and Email addresses
Hi Folks, We just recently migrated from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003. Is there an easy way to get a print out of members of a distribution list and their email address? Used to be a bear in 5.5 so I'm hoping MS made it easier in Exchange 2003. Thanks for your help. Zach

mysterious outlook web access problem

Postby Jen » Sat, 24 Jul 2004 04:48:29 GMT

we have one user on an xp laptop who uses outlook web access remotely on
regular basis. After about the 3rd or 4th OWA session, the mailbox can't be
accessed from the login screen, and the world wide web publishing service on
the OWA server has to be restarted to fix the problem. No other user
accounts cause this problem. The user account in question has a network
username and email prefix that are slightly different. All other users on
the network have email prefixes and network usernames that are exactly the
same. Could this be causing the problem?

the network consists of a winNT 4.0 pdc, and a win2000 OWA server, with
about 25 clients of various stripes.

thank you for any clues as to how to solve.....

4.Problems Accessing Messages in Outlook Web Access

I have Internet Explorer version 6 installed on my
homecomputer, and I have to access messages at my office
(I am on the adjunct faculty and I have to access student
emails to me via that site) via the Outlook web access
site at my office. My office server and office computers
use NT ver. 5.1.

For the last two months, I have not been able to send
replies to messages from my home computer; I am able to
use the web access on computers at my office. And since
I have been accessing my office mail, I have not been
able to open attachments to the messages, and I cannot
open the messages. I have to use the split screen (top
listing messages, bottom showing highlighted message).

I have attempted to add in the latest updates for Windows
XP and for Internet Explorer, but nothing seems to help.

I am able to access web email on other sites (I have a
pop-up add blocker - AdSubtract Pro ver. 2.55 - which I
disable before entering these web email sites).

Is there some fix?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Jim Grichar
