1.Creating a new mailbox - only creates X500 account
When I create a userid object for a new employee in 'Users and Computers' the
NT account is created. I usually wait about 3-5 minutes and the email address
are created. Yesteday when I created a new user the email address took about
15 minutes, but Exchange 2003 only created a X500 email address. No smtp and
email adress for the different domain names I support on Exchange 2003. I
deleted the entry and recreated the same user with the same result. However
once when attempting to edit the object in Exchange's 'Users and Computers'
tool I received the following errror only once: "The operation failed. ID
NO:80004005 Microsoft Active Directory - Exchange Extension. I then created a
test account with the same results ... Exchange only creates X500.
2.X500 Records
We have done an Exchange 5.5 to 2000 migration and would liek to setup X500
addresses for each user so they can reply to old messages. I went into each
user and added a custom address (X500) and set them up, but they do not work.
I see an error in the event log it is a 2035 error.
Does anyone know how to get this working without using the ADC?
Thanks
3.Create one record from multiple records
Hi everyone. Can someone please give me some pointers on how to
accomplish this task? I have one table with multiple records. Looks
kind of like this:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cust_ID Name Charge Date
1000 XXXXXXXXXX 536.10 06/01/00
1352 XXXXXXXXXX 204.19 07/13/00
1000 XXXXXXXXXX 1055.42 08/15/00
1352 XXXXXXXXXX 978.11 09/14/00
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What I need to do here is take all of the cust_id's that are the same
(the cust_ID field has multiple entries, just different charges and
dates), add the sum of the charges for a given year (for this example,
dates from 01/01/00 to 12/31/00) and insert the added total into a new
dbf file as one record. For the example above:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cust_ID Name Total Charges Year
1000 XXXXXXXXXX 1591.52 00
1352 XXXXXXXXXX 1182.30 00
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can someone tell me what would be the easiest way to get this done?
There are about 95,xxx records in this table.
Any help would be appreciated.

4.New Mailbox - Only X500 Address is created
Hi All,
When I create a userid object for a new employee in 'Users and
Computers' the
NT account is created. I usually wait about 3-5 minutes and the email
address
are created.
Yesteday when I created a new user the email address took about
15 minutes, but Exchange 2003 only created a X500 email address. No
smtp etc.
I am thinking that this is a problem with RUS, however I have run a
rebuild and update, and still no luck, I cant seem to find any messages
in the event log either!
I deleted the entry and recreated the same user with the same result.
I hope someone can help me!!!
Thanks

5.ADC Creating X500 address
Hi
I have a test Exchange 2003 system set up in preparation for setting it up
on our live system, it has a single site, single routing group and there is
one exchange 5.5 server.
I have ADC set up with a 2 way connector and everything seems alright,
except if i create an account on the Exchange 2003 server in ADUC when it
replicates to the 5.5 server it adds an X500 address to the existing email
addresses. If i create a new mailbox on the 5.5 server when it replicates
to AD it does not have the X500 address and there is no X500 address in the
recipient policy.
The X500 address is actually an 'Other' address which it sets the type to
X500.
Before i set up Exchange 2003 i changed the display names of the Ex 5.5 site
and organisation which is something we want to do with our live site name.
The X500 address contains references to the original site and organisation
names and the only thing i can think of is that it is creating this extra
address because of the change of names, i can't find any obvious way of not
creating it.
Has anyone else had a similar situation, is it normal and can i just delete
the X500 address, i did on one of the test mailboxes and it still appears to
work alright. Or is there a way of stopping them being created.
Thanks
