  • 3. OWA - 'Forbidden' popup when user clicks 'Send'
OWA 2003, Exchange 2003, Windows Server 2003 Users are able to log in to OWA and view messages, and even click "New" to create a new e-mail. But when the user clicks "send," a very non-helpful popup with the single word "Forbidden" pops up. This is not an HTTP 403 Forbidden page, but a window.alert() [or msgbox() for VBScripters] style popup. When I first set up OWA, I had no problem connecting and sending messages. However, in the course of troubleshooting the "Can't Change Expired Password in OWA" problem, I now experience this error consistently. The error seems to occur whether I log in using HTTP or HTTPS, and whether I'm using Forms Based Authentication or not. Thanks for any help you can give! --Boris
  • 4. Exchange 5 & Outlook 2003 - missing mail
Hello -- I hope you can help with this problem I've just started having at a small site. The server is NT 4, running Exchange 5, service packs applied. Emails are received via POP3 and placed into the users' exchange mailbox. Recently we upgraded the workstations from Office 2k to 2003. Everyone likes the new Outlook, but it's giving some serious problems. The main problem is quite a few messages (maybe 5%) show up in Outlook with either a blank 'From' in the main screen or no internal text when you open the message, or both. As an example, we may get an email that shows from [blank] -- when we open it up it has a bunch of attachments that should be there, the From field now shows the person who sent it, but the text the person typed is not there. If I check the pop server the full email/text is there. What I think might be happening is somehow the exchange server is just not compatible with outlook; when outlook tosses over an email to it it only grabs part of it. Sort if similar, perhaps, to the synch issues one would get if you had outlook in cacheing mode [we don't]. Obviously, however, I don't know what the problem is, but it's definately a real problem. What can I do aside from going back to Outlook 2000? Thanks, -Josh
  • 5. Change Browser Title in OWA and Exchange 2003
I have been trying to figure out how to change the browser title in Exchange 2003 from "Microsoft Outlook Web Access" to something more relevant to my company. Could someone give me a clue about how to do this? Your help is appreciated.

outlook 2000 standard toolbar keeps going away!

Postby jambral79 » Thu, 04 Dec 2003 23:13:07 GMT

My setup:
About 200 clients, all using Outlook 2000 as their email program.
Email is on an exchange 5.5 sp6a server.

Only one user is reporting that everytime she comes in in the morning
and opens her email that her "Standard" toolbar is gone. She knows how
to get it back, but it is just gone the next time she reboots her
comptuer and opens outlook.

I will sit in front of her machine and fix the toolbar problem, close
outlook and reopen it and the toolbar is there, but it seems like
outlook knows when I am not around, and when she opens it, outlook
takes the standard toolbar away again.

Kind of an annoyance, and making me look like a bafoon if i cant get
it fixed.
any ideas?
Thanks
Jazz Mann

Jazz Mann,

Have you tried a new Outlook profile for the user? Does the same thing
happen with a different machine?

1.McAffee Toolbar won't go away, can't uninstall McAffee - outlook 2

This is not quite as annoying as my still unanswered question re How to Get
Rid of Biz Contact Mgr toolbar, but close.

I can make McAffee Toolbar go away but then it comes back whenever I restart
Outlook 2007. I'd be happy to simply uninstall McAffee from Outlook since it
seems to consider a very large percentage of my emails as spam - INCLUDING
THOSE FROM PEOPLE IN MY ADDRESS BOOK TO WHOM I HAVE SENT EMAILS - WHAT KIND
OF SPAM FILTER IS THAT??? --
However, as far as I can tell, I cannot remove the addin from Outlook 2007
like I can Biz Comm Mgr.

How do I make this toolbar stop displaying permanently??
Thank you.

2.Outlook shortcuts keep going away

I have a user who has created a bunch of shortcuts to public folders.
Groups of the shortcuts disappear at times and have to be
recreated. Some of the folders are stored on a server in another office, and
the connection between offices is down at times. Could that cause the
shortcuts to disappear? Anything else that might do it?

3.Server Logon Popup won't go away and Outlook keeps crashing

For the last week or so, a Server Logon popup keeps appearing randomly,
titled "Internet E-Mail - Hotmail", with "Please enter your user name and
password for the follwing server." My user name and password appear as a
default, I select the "Remember Password" box then click OK, the popup
disappears, then appears again about two seconds later. This has now got so
bad that I am considering removing my Hotmail account from Outlook, as my
other email accounts all work fine. Any thoughts would be so welcome. I have
to add that Outlook has become so unstable that it crashes, or I reboot it,
about 3-4 times/day. I hope this is the right group. Apologies if not, and
please redirect. Thanks.

4.Office Toolbar Went Away

I recently upgraded to "XP Home" and then from Office2000
to Office 2003. My Microsoft toolbar disappeared and I
can't seem to find a way to get it back. Do I need to
put the old programs as shortcuts on my desktop instead?
Seems silly.

5.LANGUAGE TOOLBAR WON'T GO AWAY!!!

I just installed Office 2003 Pro on my home PC, and the Language Toolbar keeps appearing in my taskbar. I right click the task bar, and go in and disable it. But it keeps reappearing everytime I start my system! Does anyone have any ideas how to keep the Language Toobar from coming up????

6. Toolbar and Reply buttons going away

7. Standard toolbar keeps disappearing - Outlook Express
