Virus free Win2k

  • 1. Russian Trojan
I have a trojan sending notices to which is a hub in St Petersburg Russia. Anyone know what this thing is about?
  • 2. ZoneAlarm not starting at bootup
I have a new Compact Presario laptop with SP2. I would like to use Zonealarm but find that even though it's in the startup (from doing a configsys), it's not being booted up. MS Firewall is up and I can't seem to turn it off in security center. I heard it is not wise to have both firewalls up at the same time, and I prefer ZoneAlarm. What can I do to make sure that Zonealarm boots up automatically?
  • 3. Regarding Bypassing the firewall
Hi all, I am doing work on firewall, So I want to know that it is possible that we can by pass the firewall without configuration in audio/vedio comunicator. Thanx in advance! Ravi
  • 4. Reviews and ratings
I'm trying to find reviews and ratings on various firewalls. I install a lot of firewalls in small businesses. A lot of my customers have Microsoft Smalll Business server so they are hosting their own email server. They do not have personal data to protect such as SS# and bank accounts so they don't need Cisco or Checkpoint firewalls. I'm looking to find out if all the low end firewalls such as Linksys, Sonicwalls, and Watchguards are equal when it comes to security. I know that various Firewalls have different features such as spam and antivirus filters, log files and filtering by web sites etc. Is there a place that compares these firewalls and list the features that each has? I'm also trying to find the least expensive firewalls that support multiple public IP addresses. Thanks Alan

Hi all,
I've been using Kerio 2.1.5 very successfully for some time
and decided to put the revelant info on a webpage. It's
a bit slow downloading if you have dialup ;-)

I'd like your comments, as it was this ng that really got me
started and I'm very grateful.

From the page:
"So pleased am I with the performance of this firewall, I have not
downloaded any of the Microsoft "Security Updates" and everthing works
as it should on this single user system"

Now, why would you NOT want to patch your system?
While Kerio is great, there is no 100% guarantee that it
will protect you from every single vulnerability.

Well, it has so far, together with sensible actions on my part.
I'll certainly patch the system when SP5 arrives.

BTW, my page was extremly slow to download on a dialup
connection and I did what I should have done in the first place
i.e. replace the images with links to the images.
