When the checkbox "Enable Plug-Ins" in Safari, the JavaScript from the Flash detection kit seems to have no effect and just an empty page is displayed. Can I do something to prevent this behaviour and display the alternative content instead? I'm using Mac OS X 10.5.1 with Safari 3.0.4. Thanks a lot in advance for any hints! Kind regards, Andreas

Installation worked then failed

I have had problems with playing any video content at all on my computer
lately. A message pops up saying that my security settings prohibit the Active
X controls, or that I have an old version of Macromedia Flash Player. I have
Windows XP SP2. I tried to solve the problem and it was working for a few days
then all of a sudden today I am getting the same error messages I got before.

Once again, my Macromedia Flash Player has quit working. So once again I tried
to uninstall it and then reinstall it using the links sent to me by Darren
McNally. It hasn't helped this time at all. Have tried rebooting, that didn't
make any difference. When I go to the page to install the player, and click on
the button to install it, it just keeps returning to the page again and again,
apparently without installing it. Now what do I do?

3.Manual installation of Flash CS4 security update patch fails

Vista Home Premium
 CS4 Design Premium

Am attempting to install Windows flash_player_update2_flash10 using the Admin
account. Followed these instructions:

 1. Quilt Flash CS4 Professional (NOTE: actually closed all programs)
 2. Right click flash_player_update2_flash10.zip
 3. Select Extract All....
 4. Extract the contents of the file to:
          C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS4\
 5. When asked to replace the existing Players folder, choose Yes

Shortly after giving administrative okay to the install and clicking "yes" to
the "copy and replace" popup, I get a Windows popup with this message:

"Windows found that this file is potentially harmful. To help portect your
computer, Windows has blocked access to the file. Name: FlashPlayer.exe" OK"

No options on the popup except "OK" whichs stops the installation. I realize
this is a Windows issue, but it's also a CS4 installation issue. (I find it
extremely ironic that Windows detects the installation of a security update as
a security issue.) Any suggestions?

4.Flash Player 9 Installation Fails on Mac OS X

My flash player won't work on my Mac OS X Tiger anymore. I've tried to

rather not for the sake of all the trouble I would have to go through. Please
