International purchase. I'd like to purchase FMS 2.0 here in Japan. I'd like an English version, but nobody at Adobe here will answer my question, nor even respond. This scenario pertains to using Japanese MacOSX + FlashPlayer8. Files we have recorded as a FLV file has no problem for playback. But, when we stream the FLV file through the Flash media server and flash communication server the frequency or pitch of the sound becomes lower. Also, there is an abnormal latency while streaming. Has anyone experienced something similar to the above? Can anyone give us some advice on how to resolve this issue? We are in desperate need of help so we can meet a deadline! Hi, I've setup flashserver enterprise edition with multiple virhosts. All virhost application work but only *one* shows up (the _defaultVHost_) in the admin interface and in the application inspector. Could someone please help me? When I export my movie for Quicktime (.mov), the mp3 I have in it disappears and there is no sound! I am using Flash 8 Professional. I have a Quicktime movie imported into my movie, so I'm pretty sure that I have to export it using Flash 5 as a Quicktime movie in order to view the Quicktime movie that exists in my movie (in imported moive doesnt show up when I export the whole thing as html or swf). The movie itself works when I export at .mov, there is just no sound at all. I have an important audio track that is basically the point of the movie. Any help would be really really appreciated. Has anyone deployed Media Server 2 on this version of Linux -RHE 4.0 ? It's certainly supported, the printed documentation backs this up. The problem appears after time, when the fms service seems to hibernate and stops all streamed (RTMP) content from working. The server works for days, then without warning stops. Only restarting the fms service fixes the problem (have implemented a cron job to restart daily as a dirty workaround - not ideal) All ideas / help much appreciated. Thanks Dan

i hope so ! Windows Media Server support up to 5000 users ( i did it) For a Radio it's not much. I hope FMS do at least the same.

I'm a VB6 / VB.Net developer, looking into flash as an interface engine. I figured skinning is all very nice, but why not take it a step further. My main concern, before venturing any further, is how to display datagrids (listviews) with 10.000+ rows (listitems), complete with up to 10 columns (subitems). Usually displaying datasets this big would just be bad design, but this app is used for bulk data manipulation. So there you go. I doubt flash can deal with these kinds of numbers directly, so I'm wondering if there are any work-arounds like virtual datagrids (virtual listviews) to get the job done. Any ideas?
5.Creating 30,000+ flash files
I need to create a large amount of flash files, based on one template - each new file would involve changing out the font for another before exporting as SWF. Is there an easy way to batch process this group of files? I originally had looked into Applescript (I'm on Mac OS X) but didn't see much Applescript support in the Flash MX (pre-2004) application. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
