  • 1. Banned Fonts???
I have been trying to install a number of my fonts onto a new machine, but I get a message telling me that the file may be damaged. A friend tells me that they may be on 'the list of Microsoft banned fonts'; can anyone tell me, is there such a list and is there a way round it since they are font that are used in existing documents and they will no longer display or print as they should. • 3. printed text is compressed
When printing the text seems to be compressed and characters printed on top of each other. On screen it looks fine, but the printed doc is not like the screen and you cannot read it. What has happened. -- LTJ
  • 4. URGENT FONT PROBLEM
Greetings. I am using MS WORD 2003 and MS Windows XP. I recently installed a new printer -- HP Laserjet 3380 -- and since then some of the fonts in my WORD documents are unreadable (they appear as symbols; the fonts were OK when I was using my old printer --HP 930C). I looked everywhere for help but am at a loss on how to solve this problem (the MS "explanation" on their website regarding font troubleshooting was incomprehensible). Could someone please tell me what to do (other than call up HP to complain).
  • 5. Printing evelopes - font is red instead of black
I migrated to MS Word 2003 three months ago and printed this certain envelope three time since then. Now it is printing only in red. I used to print totally in black. Funny thing, a few test prints had a black/red mixture, now totally red. I know it sounds like I am running out of ink but that is not the case. When I print other docs or the test page I have plently of black ink. Any ideas? Thanks, Keith

printing a charachter or word colored white on black background

Postby Marc » Mon, 01 Mar 2004 15:45:14 GMT

I am using WORD 2003 with XP. The printed matter I generate
is normally black pritn on the white paper. However, I have
some applications where I want a character or word to print
out as white colored on a black background. How do I
accomplish this reversal?

If someone can send the response to XXXX@XXXXX.COM I'd
appreciate it.
