Can anyone tell me the connections on the PC Data Cable for the Wizcom Quicklink Pen Scanner? This seems to be a 2.5mm stereo jack to a DB9 RS232 plug. I need this as the IrDA doesn't talk to my Compaq EVO.

Hi - A couple of questions about the Ipaq 4355: I am using Windows 2000 with Office 97 (old, I know ...) -- will there be any problems with sync between the two? I am using a Treo 90 right now, but the keyboard is too small for me. I have a Rim 850 (Blackberry type device) and LOVE the keyboard. How is the one on the Ipaq? Thank you! I recently purchased a second-hand ipaq 3630, after a few days use I've started getting problems with the touchscreen. Ofcourse Im using the pen that came with it but even so it very often clicks the wrong stuff, I have tried re-calibrating it many many times, and run the restore sequence a couple of time but the problem is still there, also when I manage to hit the right icon it sometimes wont execute, like its only marked it wont really "click" it even how hard and firm I press down. Its running Windows CE 3.0.9348 (Build 9616), 1.87.00 ENG ROM from 10/17/01 which is both the latest to my knowledge and has the PPC2000 OS. Is there any software upgrades that would help me with my problem? Maybe upgrading to 2002 would help me, but I read that HP (compaq) has discontinued OS upgrades for this model, and the only way to get it is through illegal channels. I want to use my iPAQ 5500 PocketPC as a data acquisition "box" (its a pretty neat off-the-shelf embedded system with lots of memory/fast processor/tools/OS/built-in connections/Display etc.). I plan to design a card to plug into the SD slot, however, before beginning the card design I want to write some test software to determine the likely throughput of the SD interface. I have downloaded all the Tools/SDKs, googled, visited iPAQ developer page, Intel PXA255 page and managed to get some basic test software running on my 'Paq, however, I can't find any info on using the SD interface. Note: I'm not interested in SDIO/Security protocol, all I want is to be able to toggle bits on this slot directly from my software control running on the iPAQ PXA255 core. Any help appreciated. 2.epson scanner transparent unit pinout
i have a flatbed epson scanner, i read somewhere that if you connect with a resistor two pin of the connector for the transparent unit, you can turn off the light and use the scanner with transparent negative. (i need to scan old glass negative,more bigger than 35mm film). where i can find some reference? thanks
I have scanned several thousand photos in and am now going to use Photoshop to touch them up. How helpful would a pen and a tablet be or should I just stick to my mouse? 5.settings for pen and ink line drawing
Hello, I'm using an Epson photo 4990 scanner with photo shop elements 2 to scan my pen and ink line drawings, the drawings range from very fine small works to bolder black lines in larger work. I want to print my drawings out as cards, does anyone else have any experience with scanning and printing fine ink art and any ideas you can pass on. with thanks Grant.
