  • 1. HP 4141A - 4141B Source-Measurement Unit Differences?
I recently obtained a Hewlett-Packard (HP) 4141A Source-Measurement unit, but I have no documentation for it, and have no catalogs that old. It appears to be identical to the HP 4141B, for which I have a manual with the HPIB commands. Can someone please tell me what the differences are, and if the commands are the same? If you prefer, you may answer to me directly, rather than post to this group. My email address is: XXXX@XXXXX.COM Thank you, Larry Carr

The Athelon Xp 2200 hp > pavilion 523n already has 512mb in one of the two slots. . > Thanks Mike, I did exactly the same thing on a new Pavilion 325C with Athlon XP 2400. I used Crucial. Very good service and great help in finding the memory (my machine was not listed on their site). Use the online help and they will point you to the correct memeory right away. I paid about $75 for a second 512MB stick. Installing is pretty easy. You have to move the CPU fan duct but it is straight foward. You machine should have come with a book that shows this, also I had it installed on my machine as a PDF file. Look in HP>. I'm surprised that you are getting memory warnings with 512MB. What are you doing? I will be doing a lot of slide scanning and editing with Photoshop Elements. I was a little concerned that 1Gig of ram would be a bit of overkill, but the memory was so cheap. And I want the machine to run as fast as it can. Darrell
  • 4. SCSI connections
I'm helping someone set up a new computer. They have a scanner that had been connected to the old Compaq by a SCSCI cable. I took the card from the old computer thinking I could simply install it into the new Gateway but then discovered the only remaining bus connection is too short for the SCSI card. Is there an easy solution? Should I look for a new SCSI card or is there a SCSI to USB converter connector? Please contact me at XXXX@XXXXX.COM if you have an answer.
  • 5. HP "Configuration in Progress" screen is slow
We have an HP OfficeJet series 700 all-in-one printer. We bought it new a few years ago when we still had Win 98. Now we have WinXP. Problem: When we first turn on the computer with WinXP, we get this printer "Configuration In Progress" screen that seems to take a long time to finish and disappear. Is there anything we can do to either speed up the screen or stop it from appearing in the first place? Thanks. XXXX@XXXXX.COM

HP A4032 Monitor on PC

Postby Jaco van der Schyff » Wed, 03 Dec 2003 20:41:37 GMT

If anyone can help me, I want to connect my HP A4032 monitor from
my HP C110 workstaion to my PC. I read somewhere that this could
be a problem because of different signalling methods used between
the monitor and pc vga. Is it possible to do it? What am I
letting myself in for? What is tha max resolution that I would be
able to get from this old beast ? 1280x1024@70hz??

Thanks,
