I dont open the second browser using File->New. I launch a new one either through quick launch/Programs. Can someone help.
  • 2. Windows Update will not work ActiveX will not download
If this is a double post I appoligize! I put it up earlier and it dissapeared. I have 5 identicle computers - I went to run Windows Update and 3 of the 5 updated. The Last 2 would not load ActiveX so I could not install the Windows Update nor could I change to Microsoft Update. I followed the directions and added the Microsoft Web site to the Trusted Sites. I even enabled all of the ActiveX components and still no good. I lowered the Security to the lowest setting. Still no good. Any Ideas how to fix this? Thanks
  • 3. css background doesn't cache image
I have a page where I use the same image as the css background url for a number of elements (<li>'s and <a>'s). Rather than getting the image the first time, caching it and redisplaying it, IE insists on retrieving the image from the web server for each element where it is the background. Since there are a large number of these on the page, this eats up signicant bandwidth (number of elements x size of the image). I've tried absolute paths and relative paths to the css background image, but it doesn't seem to matter. So far, my only solution is to explicitly include an <img> tag each place I want it and use javascript to preload the image. This works but at the expense of a very bloated page (though not as bad as loading the image multiple times). Does anyone know how to get IE to recognize and cache the image?
  • 4. Application error message--what does it mean?
Can anyone tell me (in simple terms) why I am getting the following message and what to do to make it go away? The instruction at "0x01ccd7db" referenced memory at "0x01ccd7db". The memory could not be "read" -- David

I had the same problem. I fixed it by going into the file
called "hosts" in system32\drivers\etc. I just deleted
all the entries, but you might be able to do it by only
deleting the ones that start with ""

I had installed Spyblocker, and it had edited the file,
other programs may do the same. Hope it helps. Peace out.

I had a display picture on my msn messenger page, I updated to msn live

Change display picture are choices for dynamic pictures galleries and no
regular pictures that I could choose from. When I chose an image and click OK
a dialog box is informing me that is an invalid image file regardless of what

Microsoft is trying to forcing us into getting an account with a bloatware

All program browsers for opening an image have suddenly started showing logos

I also habe an error message when running Office XP 2000

Any help about how to fix this would be much
