  • 1. Can't move emails to different folders
I recently formatted a client's hard drive and installed Windows 98 SE and Internet Explorer 6. I then restored his emails from a backup by using the import function in Outlook Express. He has multiple folders set up for a variety of emails and I imported all of those folders. However, he is now unable to move an email from the inbox to another folder. He highlights the email, then goes to Edit and either Move to Folder or Copy to Folder, but when the Move or Copy box pops up, it is empty. I have never run across this before, so I'm at a loss. Any help is appreciated.
  • 2. wrong name, date and time in header when printing
When I print from IE the very top line is always the same: Shelley blahblah, 08:23 PM 1/3/01 -0800, Sponsorship Spreadsheet It also did this before upgrading to IE 6. The footer at the bottom says Printed for with the correct name and email, but no time or date. This header is not printed when printing from other programs. In Internet Options>Content>My Profile the correct name is listed. Anybody know where this header information is coming from and how it can be corrected or eliminated? Thanks, Dave
  • 3. IE does not complete page load
Good Afternoon. This appears to be an intermittent problem. I go to a url and IE loads and displays the whole page. Next time, same page, it only loads the background then says Done. If I press F5 then it reloads the page perfectly. It is not only with a particular site, but seems to be random. Even MSoft site required a F5 to complete. Next time all was well. It does the same with my home page ( now and then) XP pro SP2, cleared cache and internet temp files. Ran Virus check (latest) as well as latest spyware program(s) Disabled ZoneAlarm and Virus program (still does it) Any help is appreciated Thanks Tom
  • 4. Unable to access anti-virus websites

I had the same problem. I fixed it by going into the file
called "hosts" in system32\drivers\etc. I just deleted
all the entries, but you might be able to do it by only
deleting the ones that start with "127.0.0.1"

I had installed Spyblocker, and it had edited the file,
other programs may do the same. Hope it helps. Peace out.

I had a display picture on my msn messenger page, I updated to msn live
messenger (after being more or less forced to do so). At some point today my
picture dissapeared and I was not able to put it back. All what I see in
Change display picture are choices for dynamic pictures galleries and no
regular pictures that I could choose from. When I chose an image and click OK
a dialog box is informing me that is an invalid image file regardless of what
file I'm choosing, I give up after trying some 20. I cannot say whether
Microsoft is trying to forcing us into getting an account with a bloatware

4.Picture browsers will not display images.

All program browsers for opening an image have suddenly started showing logos
instead of thumbnail images, even though I check "thumbnails" where available
as an option. I want to be able to view actualy image thumbnails in programs
such as Photoshop CS2, Pictures browser, my web page designer software, etc.
These all had been working fine. Any suggestions? I have Vista Home Premium.

5.Some GIF Pictures not displaying in browser

I have a problem getting all the pictures to display in
6.0 like on the MSN main page MSN 8 Gif picture in the
box on the right. I have tried many things to cllear up
this problem without luck.

I also habe an error message when running Office XP 2000
and runing Office about the Marcos not being activated.

Any help about how to fix this would be much
appriciated...I think the GIF problem maybe related to
the firewall in XP Professional can this be turned off?
