  • 1. IE6 Won't launch
after updating my anti-virus ie will not load from the exe. Or any normal links I have to it. Nor will finding the file itself load it. My anti-virus got disabled as soon as this happened with no effect. The only way I can get it to load is by selecting windows update. From there I can use it normally, but that is a pain.

Please let me know even if it is possible. Thanks Dennis

I had the same problem. I fixed it by going into the file
called "hosts" in system32\drivers\etc. I just deleted
all the entries, but you might be able to do it by only
deleting the ones that start with ""

I had installed Spyblocker, and it had edited the file,
other programs may do the same. Hope it helps. Peace out.

2.display picture dissapeared, cannot change display picture

I had a display picture on my msn messenger page, I updated to msn live
messenger (after being more or less forced to do so). At some point today my
picture dissapeared and I was not able to put it back. All what I see in
Change display picture are choices for dynamic pictures galleries and no
regular pictures that I could choose from. When I chose an image and click OK
a dialog box is informing me that is an invalid image file regardless of what
file I'm choosing, I give up after trying some 20. I cannot say whether
Microsoft is trying to forcing us into getting an account with a bloatware
gallery provider (read : the dynamic picture gallery providers) or simply
undertested, business driven Live Messenger is full of bugs...

such as Photoshop CS2, Pictures browser, my web page designer software, etc.

I have a problem getting all the pictures to display in
6.0 like on the MSN main page MSN 8 Gif picture in the

this problem without luck.

I also habe an error message when running Office XP 2000

Any help about how to fix this would be much
appriciated...I think the GIF problem maybe related to
the firewall in XP Professional can this be turned off?
