  • 1. IE 6 on XP problem. Please help!!!!
I ran spybot and during the fix selected items, the program hung. I rebooted and found that now when I go into IE 6, I get 'The page cannot be displayed' error. This message comes up no matter which site I try. (yahoo, usatoday, etc) I still can use Netscape to access aly website, and send/receive email with no probs. I have reinstalled IE 6 SP1, but the prob still exists. My system runs XP and I use a cable modem. I think that some file is corrupted that IE uses since I can still use netscape with no problems, but I am not sure. I have no idea what to try next, and netscape is getting old fast!! Please give me any ideas that u might have. Thanks.
  • 2. Tools - Internet Options disabled error message
In my IE6 toolbar, if I select the "Tools" menu and then "Internet Options" from the dropdown, I now get an error message in a dialogue box titled "Restrictions" - the error message reads; "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." Anybody any ideas what I have done, and how to fix it? I suspect I have done some injudicious pruning of files and settings selection in trying to get rid of some spyware and other undesirables (Cydoor, Adcache etc) from my hard drive.

Anybody know if this is a known bug. No info or
patches I can find. Hasn't worked since I bought my
computer in JAN. I restored computer and it worked,
until I downloaded the last 2-3 , of 20 win updates
needed! Anybody know if this is a known issue???

Help menu problems?

This apparently happened after a windows update.
To fix the problem, find the Tshoot.inf file which should be in
c:\windows\inf, right click
on it and select Install from the popup list. Have your Win cd on hand.

I have windows XP sp1. IE 6. Ever since I have had this
computer the HELP button in print preveiw hasn't worked.
I beleive this is part of IE 6. I have all updates and
patches current(except a couple that I really don't think
I need). I retored my computer the other day , and this
was the first time it worked. I installed windows updates
(about 15-16). I kept checking periodically to see if it
still worked. Somewhere around the last 1-5
patch/update installs it stopped working. I called
Emachines and the guy said that the computer he was
working on didn't have it functional either. Is this a
known issue, why hasn't it been fixed in almost a year
(or more)????? please help.

5.2007: Disable printing but still able to view Print Preview

Hello,

I am trying to disable all printing when a specific cell on a worksheet is
blank. Meaning there is no way a user can print anything from the worksheet
until the cell has been filled. Also, I need to be able to view the print
preview screen of the sheet....just not be able to actually print the sheet.

Any code samples or examples would be both appreciated and helpful. This
example needs to work for Excel 2007. Working for any other versions is not
mandatory but it is a bonus.

Thanks for the help in advance,
     Aaron
