  • 2. Links Bar has Vanished . . .
and in its place, is a label that says "Favorites". My links had been on the toolbar just to the right of the "go" button and the address bar. However, now in its place is just a label, which says favorites NOT links!. When you press on it, nothing at all happens and the links are not accessible. However, the links ARE listed under the Favorites panel to the left which opens up by pressing the "Star" Icon (the same area in which you can Organize and Add favorites). When I right-click on the toolbar, or press "View" and select the toolbars which I want to appear, the 'links' toolbar is checked, but it is nowhere to be seen. And why is that non-functional label of favorites replacing it? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. I am running IE 6.0 SP2, Win XP SP2 Home Edition.
  • 3. Internet Explorer Error "Unable To Locate Page"
Hello, I am running WindowsXP SP2 with IE 6. I recently started having a problem with IE6. More of an annoyance than a problem. When I double click on a htm file on my hard drive IE6 give me the following message. Windows cannot find "d:\my documents\my webs\ups stationary\upsstationary.htm". Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the start button, and then click Search. 1st - I did not type the url into explorer. I double clicked on the file. 2nd - It doesnt matter what "htm" file I click on or where it is on my hard drive I get the same message. 3rd - Even though I get that error message the file opens up anyway. 4th - If I already have an IE6 window open (no matter what web site or htm file I have open I dont get the message at all. It just opens up the file I am double clicking on with no problems. This wasnt happening until recently. It seems to have started happening after I downloaded some updates from Windows Updates and installed them. I have checked the File Types under Folder Options for the "htm" file type. It appears to all be set up correctly. However I am not sure what the DDE settings should be for IE6. Not quite up on DDE settings as I probably should be. Any one have a suggestion? Please let me know Thanks, JWCardington
  • 4. IE 6 Graphics
Hi, Recently had a IE6 problems..which I thought cured, however I gave up on trying to resolve the fact the right click menu> view source. Did not work nor did taskbar "source". I now find that if I right click anyimage to save has ...every image is shown as "untitled" bmp. Using Firefox...I get all information ie view source and correct image file names. The clear cache or delete temp files "repairs" have not solved this...any suggestions welcome. Art

I am not able to open internet explorer or my computer... when this problem first started happening about 2 months ago an error message would come up saying somthing was wrong with DrWtsn32.exe....i think there may also be a problem with wuauclt.exe i am not sure how this problem started i think it may have been a virus.. however, now the error message doesnt even come up anymore. I thikn this may be because i downloaded AVG (an anti virus program) to possibly help get rid of this problem, and i think it may have deleted these files....i dont know much more but if you have any specific questions about my comp i may be able to answer.....please help
