  • 1. web page not being displayed properly
After the last Windows update, I receive errors on a majority of web pages I visit. The eror is: "Problems with this Web page might prevent it from being displayed properly or functioning properly. In the futre, you can display this message by double-clicking the warning icon in the displayed in the status bar" I am sure the webmasters at Macromedia have their html code correct.
  • 2. Resolution and viewing ie6
I have just go a new laptop, 15" screen and it needs to be set at 1050 by 1400. My problem is that if I am viewing pictures/graphics in say photoshop, I have no problems. But when I go online all the web pages are being "stretched" and they look terrible. All graphics are blurred although text is clean and crisp. I assume this is because not many people are using that resolution, therefore most websites won't look that good, but I need to sort this out as it's really annoying! Any help would be most appreciated as this laptop was really expensive!

I have auto-complete turned off in explorer and have deleted all offline files/cookies/history entries and yet when I start to type a previously entered url or phrase into a field box in IE6 a list of previously entered information is available for me to select from? How do I delete these entries.
  • 4. Problem with second browser window
I am running XP Prof and everything was fine. All of a sudden, when I am in IE on a website (for example a news site), and I click on a link, the second window hangs and never opens? Any suggestions. Thanks, Augie
  • 5. Problems accessing Hotmail/Passport
Error Message: The .NET Passport service is currently unavailable at this Web site for one of these reasons: . The site may contain an error or be experiencing a problem that affects the .NET Passport service. . The site may not be an official .NET Passport- participating site. Recently, I have had problems trying to connect to Hotmail on this PC (Win98SE/IE 6.0). At first, I thought the Hotmail servers were down. But, that idea was struck down when I was able to log on with my laptop. Then, I decided uninstall .NET framerwork and roll back to IE 5.5. It worked just fine. Figuring something might have f'ed up, I reinstalled 6.0 and receive the original error message. Any clue as to what's going on? Thanks.
