  • 1. IE6 does not fill screen
I clicked on a computer tech website that had something else there. I did not pay much attention and left. At the same time however, my browser window shrunk and inch off the top (i.e. I can see my desktop). This is with it 'maximized'. Everything works fine and I still have full visibility of web pages (just more scrolling). Has some malicious change occured? John
  • 2. Error in IE with wmpui.dll
I have a friend who is getting an error message in Internet Explorer. I believe he has IE 6.0 (but he may have 5.5, he was not sure) and he gets this error message: "Internet Explorer invald ie module wmpui.dll at 017F:5254D46E" I searched the web myself and newsgroups but I am unable to find a solution, the dll file I believe is from windows media player program, since most of my search mentioned that program. The question is, how does he fix the problem, will uninstalling the latest version of media player and then reinstalling it, fix the issue? If not, what will?
  • 3. shortcut key for IE
Is there any way to force the cursor into the first text field? I am building a macro, and would prefer not to use the Tab key to get to that spot.
  • 4. Blank popup problem - no solution?
Hello everybody! The problem with blank popups in IE6 seems to be well known. But all the "solutions" I found, did not work for me. That's what I did: - SP4 for W2k installed again - 2x IE6 SP1 installed again - used repair function of IE Then - as described in a knowledge base article - I tried to register the following files via regsrv32.exe: urlmon.dll Shdocvw.dll Msjava.dll Actxprxy.dll Oleaut32.dll Mshtml.dll Browseui.dll Shell32.dll The files "Msjava.dll", "Actxprxy.dll" sowie "Oleaut32.dll" caused an error message (example with Msjava.dll): "Msjava.dll was loaded, but the DllInstall entry point was not found. DllInstall may not be exported, or a corrupt version of Msjava.dll may be in memory. Consider using PView to detect and remove it." What else could I do??? I can't think of anything else. I also tried to replace oleaut32.dll with another version manually. Did not work. And also sfc.exe did not work. I'M LOST!!! Thanks for any hints on that... Bye Oli
