  • 1. IE6 won't open in ONE profile...
...but it will open in another profile. I'm running XP Home Edition SP2, and when I logon to the computer using my profile, Internet Explorer 6 won't open. I try to run the program, and nothing happens. No error message, no window, nothing. The cursor turns active for a moment, but then stops. It doesn't even appear in the "processes" of the Task Manager. When I use my wife's profile, however, IE 6 works fine. Same computer, same IE 6, same OS, but a different profile. What is going on? How can I fix this? Thanks.

Hi I cannot print direct from IE6 without losing the right hand side of the page. Have tried changing the page setup on the web page, print preview and even the registry but with no luck. I am using HP1220C, Laserjet 2100 and HP990C and all ahev the same problems. Any ideas would be gratefully received. -- Neil
  • 4. What would cause IE back button to refresh the previous screen?
Okay, on a game that I play there is a message board where new messages are boldened. I could follow a message thread, and then as I backed out with the back button the messages would remain boldened, in stead of returning to normal as they do when you have read them. Now, however, as I back through the threads, it refreshes the screens so that the new messages are no longer boldened. Any thoughts on what might have changed on my browser to cause this? Thanks Dave

While surfing I will occaisionally have a page or ad
that will not close no matter what I do. The page is
there until I shut the computer down.
