  • 1. Web server stops
Hi all, I have this problem... can someone help me please Tks Description: The Web Proxy filter failed to bind its socket to xx.xx.xx.117 port 80. This may have been caused by another service that is already using the same port or by a network adapter that is not functional. To resolve this issue, restart the Microsoft Firewall service. The error code specified in the data area of the event properties indicates the cause of the failure. The failure is due to error: 0x8007271d
  • 2. ISA Setup Problem - Local Browser Denied Connection
I have set up ISA server and it is working fine as a proxy server for other clients. On the local ISA server however, I have to stop the firewall services in order for the local computer to be able to connect to any port 80 traffic. What I see is HTTP protocol Initiated Connection - Rule Allow HTTP/HTTPS requests from ISA Server to specified sites then the next line says Destination port 80 (no protocol) Denied Connection under action, then coient name says anonymous Help - I need for the local ISA server to be able to do port 80/443 requests directly to the internet. Thanks, Adam
  • 3. 2 ISA Server on LAN
Is it possible to have ISA running on the SBS Server and also on a SBS member server for failover or redundacy? ISA Standard Edition says it "Supports inlimited multiple networks and types" I am thinking this should mean we could have two WAN (Static IP DSL) connectioned to the ISA box? Am I interpreting this wrong? Thanks for your guidance.
  • 4. The gateway has lost the connection
I'm am getting this error The gateway has lost the connection with the Web site you are trying to access. I have routing rule that send requests to port 8000, it has been working fine up to now, if I request a page with port number like so myserver:8000 it works, so I assume that ISA has stopped sending my requests to port 80 but why/ any help??
  • 5. ISA And Change User Password
Hello All, Require some help. We have setup ISA to read User ID / Passwords from Win2K Active Directory. Therefore, when user connects to ISA, it asked for authentication for User ID / Password. This works fine. Problem is, the ADMIN user have to create the password for the users in Active Directory. And therefore, the password is not secure. What we would like to do is the ability for a user to log into a web page and then authenticate themselves before they can change the password and then update the latest password into Active Directory. Anyone has a script / html, etc that can do this? thanks and regards. Johnny

FileZilla through ISA2004

Postby mrbrown66 » Thu, 24 Feb 2005 02:06:26 GMT

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone has had any success configuring the likes of
CuteFTP and Filezilla working through ISA2004 for FTP access WITHOUT
the Firewall Client.

FTP works fine when I use Internet Explorer 6 through the proxy server.
But when I configure the proxy settings in Filezilla as a HTTP 1.1
Proxy server, and enter in the address and port number it doesnt work.

I receive the following error message. This is receive on attempting
to connect, prior to the LIST command being issued.

Status:	Connecting to ftp.freebsd.org ...
Error:	Proxy request failed, can't connect through proxy server
Error:	HTTP/1.1 502 Proxy Error ( The specified Secure Sockets Layer
(SSL) port is not allowed. ISA Server is not configured to allow SSL
requests from this port. Most Web browsers use port 443 for SSL
requests. )
Error:	Unable to connect!
Status:	Waiting to retry... (100 retries left)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mrbrown66

Hi mrbrown66,

FTP trough ISA proxy server only in passive mode.
For FTP in active mode you must use ISA as firewall.

1.FileZilla FTPS through ISA

I'm having difficulties connecting an SBS2k3 client -
XPsp2 with Filezilla ftp program through ISA2000.
If I bypass ISA it works fine, it asks to accept a
cecurity certificate, this is where through ISA it
doesn't do it and it times out.
I opened up the ftp outbound ports and also created a
custom filter for ftps ports 989 and 990 (it's using FTP
over SSL/explicit connection )

These are the last lines I'm getting before it times out:

"Status: Connected with ftps.company.com,
negotiating SSL connection...
Response: 220 CONNECT:Enterprise Gateway 2.0.02.
FTP Server ready...
Command: AUTH SSL
Response: 234 AUTH: command accepted. Securing
command channel ..."
////times out.......

I installed the security certificate (direct internet
connection ), but still no further connection through ISA.
I installed FileZilla on a test SBS2k3 with ISA 2000 and it works fine, but
not on a client.

If anybody has any sugestions, your input is appreciated.

Thank you,
Daniel

2.using remote MMC from one ISA2004 to another ISA2004

I have two ISA2004 servers, on same subnet that I would like to be able to
manage using one mmc console. Currently I must use RDP to each at the the
same time in order to compare settings.

Whenever I try to connect to the second ISA server, I get the "RPC server is
unavailable" error. Doesn't matter which ISA I'm trying from, same error,
either direction.

I have placed the opposite ISA server in each other's remote management
computer set - no dice.
I have looked at another posting and followed it's suggestion to create a
rule allowing RPC and CIFS from one server to another - no dice.

Any new suggestions would be appreciated.

3.Policy Import Failing from ISA2004 SE to ISA2004 EE

We are getting ready to upgrade from ISA 2004 SE to ISA 2004 EE. Working in
our lab, I am unable to import the configuration from SE to EE. It is the
same server (name, nics, addresses), but gives:

Import Failed
Error: 0xc00403b6
The file being importing can only be imported to an array node.
The error occurred on object 'PolicyRules' of class 'Policy Rules' in the
scope of array 'server_name'.

I have tried this from both the CSS and an Array Node with the same results.

4.PING through tunnel (ISA2004 to ISA2004)

Hi group

I've just setup a VPN tunnel using PPTP as descriped in Tom Shinders
book (page 747)- and the tunnel seems to work fine. But I can only ping
servers on opposit domains from the ISA servers - not from any
clients!? The rules are MAIN to BRANCH - All Outbound Traffic - and
vise versa.

What rules do I need for sending everything in the tunnel without
problems.

5.ISA2004 Client missing from Client Applications after ISA2004 upgr

SBS2003 Premium,recently upgraded to SP1, as well as ISA200 to ISA2004 upgrade.

Before upgrade, ISA2000 client was an assigned application for Clients.

After upgrade ISA2000 client was removed and ISA2004 client was not added.

I just happened to make a new client installation and struggled through 2
weeks of trying to figure out what was going on.

Everthing would have been fine if I had know that 'mspclnt' was the ISA2004
client file to link to.

I don't know if this was an issue specific to my installation.
