1.Display driver problems - Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000 w/ Trident Adapter
I've been playing hell trying to get this laptop display driver working. I'm running Windows XP Pro and the driver I'm trying out is straight from Toshiba's website. Windows XP Display Driver for Trident Ai1 Display Adapters (v6.4022- 016B.22ICDNP; 11-09-2001; 2.09M) When I attempt to install it, it freezes my system. After that, if I remove the display adapter from device manager, it'll recognize the it as Trident Ai1 on next boot but it will freeze my system again. I've tried Windows 2000 Pro with the same results. I was able to get it working in Windows 98, however using W98 is not an option. I even tried using the W98 driver in XP. Same results. Any suggestions? Thanks.
2.Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000 - Stuck in standby mode
Hello- My Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000 Laptop seems to be stuck in Standby mode. When I turn it on, it powers up and all the lights on the front are green. You can hear the HDD power up but that's it. The screen stays blank and nothing else happens. I tried removing the battery and AC power overnight but this did not work. Resetting the laptop doesn't do anything either. Does anyone know how I can get the laptop out of standby mode?
I have a Toshiba that has a shut down issue. From time to time it will just turn itself off. This can happen during startup or while im using the machine. Is there any service bulletins in regards to this problem? Has anyone else experienced this problem? Scott

5.omnibook 6000 Sick Motherboard?
I have a omnibook 6000 that turns itself off after just a couple minutes. I thought at first it was the cpu overheating due to a faulty fan. I swapped the fan and it acted the same way. Then I changed the internal power supply hoping that would be the problem. It still shut down on me. Then I swapped the cpu with one that had the exact same spec. This time the screen stayed blank and no activity from the drives. When I replaced the old cpu the laptop would boot back up run for a couple minutes. I'm at a loss. Only thing I can think of is a bad board! Any help please.
