World "second": Live-CD that saves back to CD

  • 1. system showing more users loggen in than there actually is
Is this a bug or what. Problem : i had two xterms up and one was running top showing 2 users which was fine. At some point the other xterm crashed but the xterm running top still showed 2 users. i've done a w, who -d, finger and i couldn't find any reason why the system still showed 2 users logged in. At that point only one user was logged on. Question: Why is the system still showing 2 users when only one is loged in? running Fedora Core 1 2.4.22-1.2138.nptlsmp Now i don't want to hear that this is a fedora problem cuz i'm also running FreeBSD and i can simulate the same problem. I think this is a kernel problem.
  • 2. Newbie questions: How to only list directories using ls?

  • 3. Database program for Linux like Approach or Access
I am looking for a single user relational database program that works like Access or Lotus Approach for the Linux platform. I will be creating a Customer service tracking database. Any suggestions? This will be installed on a number of laptops for field techs. Thanks

World "second": Live-CD that saves back to CD

Postby » Fri, 11 Mar 2005 09:47:46 GMT

As far as I am aware, this is a world first, a live-CD that saves back
to the CD at end of session.
...heh, heh, I just discovered last night that Morphix has already
experimented with the same thing, so change that to a "world second"!

Announcement on News page:

An introduction to the multi-session live-CD concept:

The file is:
