    hi one of my clients, the boss of an office has asked me can he have a copy of EVERY email that comes in or out of the office. they have no server at the moment, just peer networked pc's that connect to an ISP. he is happy for me to install a mail server to accomplish this. any ideas how? thanks.

    Does somebody have an overview which variables are possible for the LANG parameter?
  • 4. Umlauts not being displayed in the shell
    Hi, my problem: I can't display umlauts like ?in the bash anymore! If I do a "ls" on a directory, all umlauts get displayed as "?" (questions marks). I don't know what I changed that this happen now, but the only thing I can remember is running "dpkg-reconfigure locales", but not actually changing any settings. I can enter umlauts like ?into the bash and for example create a text file with vi, whose filename contains umlauts like "?txt" and save it. Listing the directory I, which contains this file, I get: -rw-r----- 1 root root 7 May 18 13:08 ???.txt Both in my xterm under X11 and under the normal bash login. The funny thing is, that when I write "ls /tmp/? and double press the TAB key to complete the line, then I end up with: ls /tmp/?txt So the bash correctly displays the umlauts, when I do a TAB complete on the file, which contains the umlauts. In my /etc/locale.gen I have: de_DE.UTF-8@euro UTF-8 de_DE ISO-8859-1 de_DE@euro ISO-8859-15 Now I really don't know how to make the bash display the umlauts in the filenames. It always worked before. Can somebody help me here? I appreciate any comments on the subject. Fritz

I need to retrieve and open a file stored on a Unix server on a network and
opens the file as a delimited text file. I'm using VS2005, .net 2.0 and C#.
What's the best way to do this and if there's any sample code online?
The user would enter something like;
\\serverName\filename
or
\\ipaddress

Thanks.
