  • 3. Entourage 2004+Exchange 2003 continual synchronizing & no hair!
    I have seen several posts on this but no fixes. Setup here, PowerBook G4 10.4.9 (from combi), Entourage 11.3.3 (just done the 11.3.6 update. Server is Windows2003 and Exchange 2003. When sending and receiving sync just goes on and on....., I seemed to notice this after U/G to 10.4.9. This happens on 2 different powerbooks, I mail database is about 400Mb the other about 300Mb. I have stopped using Ent 2004 and use Apple Mail instead. Any ideas on what I could try next? All users (approx 20) of Office X at this site don't have this problem. All connected on a 100Mb LAN I look after, desktops servers LAN, in fact just about everything with electrical current in it! Thanks Mike Allisette
  • 4. trying to open one problem email causes Entourage to crash.
    I got a reply to my email from a friend and whenever I try to open it in Entourage it crashes and you get the 'crash reporter' program saying would you like to send a report to apple. However the strange thing is I can see the email when I do 'reply to' It is repeatable every time. I have just updated to the latest release of entourage issued 20th May and that does not solve it. I am not too bothered about fixing the problem, The work around of using reply to to be able to see the email is good enough for more, but Is there a support email address for entourage developmers who may be interested in seeing the email to see if they can reproduce the error? Does anyone else get this type of problem?

Does anyone know if Entourage has the capability of requesting a "Read Receipt" or "Receipt Verification" with sent emails. I cannot seem to find out where this option is?  <br><br>Thanks, D8

Of course you will only get a read receipt form a recipient who hasn
prevented there production and/or software that allows them. However to get
a receipt from those that othen open your Email account settings and
click on Options tab. In Additional Headers under Header add
Disposition-Notification-To and your email address under Value.

I understand the limitations of both read and delivery receipt, however there are other business reasons for using them. It tells the recipient that the sender considers a particular item as being important. (That is obviated by having a default for all items to have a receipt as is suggested in the forum.)

Since this is a long standing feature of Outlook and many people use it, what are the chances of getting it back, rather than simply telling us that we are wrong for wanting it? That particular microsoft arrogance is one of the reasons I switched to MAC in the first place.
