  • 1. Radio buttons in a Word 2003 form
I have built a form using radio buttons as a Yes/No selection, and I'm not certain I've done it correctly. I have absolutely no problem getting the buttons work for me, but one of my testers cannot select either the "yes" or "no" button. There are a "gaggle" of properties I don't understand. Do I need to do something special to make these work? Thank you! Debbie
  • 2. Inserting a Hyperlink problem
I can't get Word 2003 to Insert a Hyperlink into a particular paragraph. For example, I right-click on a phrase, click Hyperlink, select Place in This Document, and scroll down the Select a place in this document: dialog box. But at this point, the chapter heading I'm looking for doesn't appear. In fact, none of the "Heading 2" chapter tags appear in the dialog box. I've tried regenerating the TOC, re-typing the chapter title, etc, with no luck. I suspect there's a problem with the Heading 2 chapter tag attributes. Any ideas?

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) I'm sure this is a silly question, but how do I keep track of my word docs? right now I just have a huge list, but I'd like to keep them in separate folders. Is this possible? Thank you!

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) Processor: Intel Ok.., so I managed to delete my entire paper that's due today while changing the cover sheet! I know just hit undo. Well, I did not notice the entire document had been changed and when I went to click on the print tab I clicked save! So I deleted the paper, then saved the change. I have already closed the application. Is there any way to retrieve my mistake. I had already saved the completed document prior, so it was saved at one point. Thanks, any help and info would be greatly appreciated.

Trouble opening Word 2007 for Windows files with equations on my Word 2008 for Mac

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I use Word 2008 for Mac but when I try to open a Word 2007 for Windows file from a student with equations, all the equations are nonsensical. Any hints?

First of all, I'm using an Intel MacBook Pro. I'm running the 2008 version of office for mac and the 2007 version for windows, using VmwareFusion as emulator (windows XP). <br><br>-------------------- <br><br>I frequently receive word documents created by windows office 2007 users on which I have to work on. <br><br>One very annoying thing that SOMETIMES happens is that, when opening these files on mac word 2008, some of them get their margins messed up, as well as some parts of the footer. <br><br>Additionally, in some situations parts of text that should fit into one page get separated into two, because one phrase gets pushed to the next page due to changes in size (of what I can't figure out). <br><br>This is a big issue since I eventually end up having to print some of the files and the fact that their formatting is all messed up reflects on the end result. <br><br>I have searched the web for answers and I found some references to differences in (1) printer drivers and (2) font list. <br><br>As far as I can tell, the documents I have been using to try to figure this problem out (they have different aspects when opened using the windows word 2007 and the mac word 2008) use fonts I have on both platforms... <br><br>I know I can always open these files using the windows word 2007, on the emulator, but I obviously want to just use the mac version and get the right results on the fly. <br><br>Can someone shed some light on this? <br>
Thanks in advance.

3.Opening Word 2007 (for windows) in Word 2004 (for Mac)

I can't seem to open Word 2007 files on my Mac in Word 2004. I have a
work around of opening them in Word in Parallels then resaving them
then opening them in Word 2004 however this process is very time
consuming. Is there a patch of some sort so I can open them directly
in Word 2004?

thanks!

4.Word Template created in Word 2008 (mac) won't save on Word 2007 (vista)

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC

I designed a Word template in Word 2008 (mac), but when I attempt to use and save in Word 2007 on Vista I get an error message that it can't be saved. <br><br>The template opens as a blank page. When I edit on Word 2008 for Mac, save it as a .docx and open it in Word 2007 Vista, it can be seen, but it still can't be saved. <br><br>I've saved the template as a .dotx file, as I should. So I'm confused as to why it won't work on 2007 Vista. They're the most current versions on both platforms and use the "x" format. <br><br>Any suggestions? I can paste in the error message if you need it. <br><br>Thanks! <br>
