Here is what I meant to ask: If I create a document, on a Mac, using Word 2004, can I then open up that document on a PC that has Word for Windows 2007?

I have a Mac G5. Mac OS X 10.4.10. I am receiving documents that are attached to emails that were created using Word 2007. The documents have the extension ".doc" I am running Office for Mac and the Word program is Version 11.3.5. Any advice? Bill

Hello! I just discovered that Word 2004 cannot open RTF (not, repeat not, XML) files created with Word 2007 (beta) on Win XP! I am able to read the files if I resave them with Word 2003 (Win). Has anyone else seen this problem? The file APPEARS to open on the Mac, but it is completely blank! Any help on this would be enormously appreciated. Les
