We are in the process of putting our Mac community in A.D. and are experiencing problems with the few accounts we have added to be getting locked out. These accounts are getting locked out every day several times a day. We have tried shutting down the machines a night and nothing seems to help. Does anyone have a suggestion for this?

Wallstreet PowerBook G3 Fan Problem!!!!

Postby Romell Carter » Tue, 12 Apr 2005 11:14:25 GMT

To whom it may concern:

Can you please tell me what part I need replace in order for the fan on my
PowerBook fan to stop running continuously? It used to come on and off now
it stays on and is running at high speed even when the unit is cold! Is
there a temp switch of some kind?? Please respond ASAP.

Thank you,
Romell

i am trying to use my powerbook in scsi mode on my powermac but i
cannot get it work. when i start up my system with the powerbook on
and set to scsi mode one of both (mac or pb) crashes. i am using a
standart hdi-scsi (29:25) adapter and a scsi25 to scsi50 cable in
order to add the powerbook to the scsi-chain. do i need any special
adapters e.g. with special switches or is there another way to solve
this problem.

2.restart problem with powerbook g3 (wallstreet)

I got a Powerbook G3 series (wallstreet) running 9.2.2 with 256 MB
memory which behaves misteriously.
It won't do a "restart"! I can shut it down and turn it on. No problem,
but if I choose "restart" it shuts down and hear the styart up chime.
But that's it. The same behaviour if I go under control panel startup
disk and choose restart from there. Resetting the powermanager will
eventually restart the computer. What's going on? I replaced the PMU
powerboard card with a supposingly good one, but it dodn't make any
difference.

3.Powerbook G3 Wallstreet Keyboard wierdness

I've gone through all the steps to put a 40Gb drive in this Wallstreet
I got for my Granddaughter to use in school. All works as it should
except the keyboard doesn't want to go back in. I put the 5 tabs into
their slots as directed, but when I get to the part about pressing down
firmly, the bottom edge of the keyboard doesn't seem to lock into
anything. I suspect those little tabs inside that were oh-so-easy to
slide to pop the bottom edge out in the beginning but won't travel
either way now that I want to put the keyboard back in.

Surely there's something simple I'm missing here.

Any help anyone?

Thanks,
PapaJuJu
