In article < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >, I have to take issue with this statement; I feel that we have not reached anything approaching the zenith of computing. Certainly the Mac is better than the PC, it almost goes without saying, and I wouldn't have mentioned it except that this is CSMA, but there are areas where the experience is lacking... For example, I remember a post by the Mayor a short while ago that clearly exposed the iPod's lack of perfect communion with its owner. Can you believe that it would occasionally not play exactly the right song for the occasion? How did that slip by QA? For that matter, I notice that sometimes I have to wait a second or two when I'm doing a complex process. Why the hell didn't my Mac schedule these processes to be done sometime last night, anticipating that I would need to do them? I realize that I'm doing nothing but providing fodder for the Wintrolls by exposing the shortcomings of the Mac, but This Must Be Addressed! -- Rick...
In article < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >, Then please excuse my hyperbolic ramblings. It should know not only what song to play and when, but it should also know what songs to download and what songs are best left on the computer. That it cannot do these things is a great failure on Apple's part. :-( That's certainly inexcusable. Everybody knows that Windows will do this. Of course, when Windows does it, there is the barest chance that it won't be the complex process you will want when the time comes, but there is always room for improvement, right? Agreed! And who better to do so than "El Alcalde de nada", Edlost, Pratt and Whiney? Right? -- George Graves ------------------ Bush is a poor leader because he isn't very smart. What's Kerry's excuse gonna be?

Media player has been able to play any number of videos at once. limited by CPU speed and memory availability. Hmmm Lets see how video playback alters my system performance. OK I started 4 versions of the same video playing. Total CPU utilization under Windows, 4% Video Codec used DiviX-4 Audio Codec Mpeg1. Ahahahahahahah I guess that means I could playback two dozen video's at once. Ahahahahahaahahah Stupid, Dung Eating LinTurdz....
4.BB has a great way to moderate this NG from Snit's crap! (Snit-free thread request)
Simply don't respond to Snit in any thread that has a "Snit-free thread request" message in the title. If others agree to do it and stick to it, I'll oblige on a per thread basis. This is essentially all I asked for 2 years ago... now that someone else is calling for it, perhaps it will be reconsidered and given a chance. 5.Hard drive going going gone?
Hi y'all. I have an ibook dual USB circa 2001. Recently, it tend to make relatively loud click sound from the hard drive area, occassionally cause the machine to hang/freeze. Any one experience similar symptoms? Is this a sign of an impending death of the hard drive, or is it something else? I'm thinking of upgrading the drive, but considering its age, I'd hate to spend the money and find out that the problem is elsewhere. Thanks, Tho
