  • 1. Saving message folders in Outlook Express
How do you save Message folders with Outlook Express 6.0? I am not able to: 1. Save individual message folders to a folder for backup or archive. I want to 'save ' some message folders in case of Hardrive problems or other unforseen problems that may occur. When I try to 'export' a message folder, it fails with a message 'This will export messages to Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange??' When I click OK, I get 'Export could not be performed', 'An error occurred initializing MAPI'. 2. Just trying to 'save' a folder (under 'file') doesn't appear an option, as 'save as' is not a choice. Can Saving folders be done easily? It seems like it should be a normal function

no internet access via anything other than IE

Postby becface » Sat, 28 Oct 2006 21:58:51 GMT

Hi,

I'm able to access the internet and surf just fine through browsers;
however, when I try to use the outlook browser access it doesn't work
nor can I get access to our third party AltME chat 0 - it says "no
internet connection".

I have the exact same set up on a another PC (or so I thought) and have
no trouble with it.

Can't imagine what I'm missing but am hoping you all can set me in the
right direction.

Thank you in advance for any information or guidance.

My first guess would be a firewall is blocking the ports.

IE 6 will succesfully access Internet via dialup connection but not via LAN -

3.My Program Files are viewed by Others via Internet

Hello there,
I have noticed that my configurations are always changed
whenever I would log on to my office PC. The view of icons
in the control panel are always changed without me chaging
them. The speed of my computer slows down, when these are
observed.
I am certain that while I am at work with my PC, my files
and folders are viewed via internet. Because when I click
on the view tab, it would reveal that "as web page" is
clicked. That is , my files are viewed as web page. I
always unclick this , but every time I would click the
view again it would reveal the same.
Also, there is an IE Windows Icon in the task bar of my
windows explore, HOW CAN I REMOVE THIS? HOW CAN I SECURE
MY FOLDERS AND FILES FROM OUR OWN MIS STAFF WHO DWELLS ON
THE EMPLOYEES FILES. I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO SECURE MY EMAILS
THAT I AM ALSO CERTAIN ARE BEING VIEWED BY OUR OWN MIS
STAFF.
MANY THANKS FOR YOUR KIND ATTENTION.
HOPING TO HEAR YOUR IMMEDIATE RESPONSE.

BEST REgards,
