    > Microsoft website that exams 70-306, 70-305, & 70-310 is a validate > combination, is this true? You are posting in this newsgroup to find a more authoritative answer than what the Microsoft website says? And good thing you did. Because I just took 70-316, 70-315 and 70-320 which Microsoft said was a valid combination to achieve MCAD.NET. But two days after my last exam I got an email from Microsoft saying that their website was just kidding. It is NOT a valid combination. They keep the valid combinations hidden from you so you just have to take lots of exams before you finally hit on a valid combination. Good luck in your quest. I'm planning to take 70-100 next. Maybe then I will become MCAD.NET. Umberto Unity "C. Hunter" < XXXX@XXXXX.COM > wrote in message news: XXXX@XXXXX.COM ... > I am getting ready to take my first exam which is 70-306. • 2. Lower Alabama MCAD Training??
Forgive my ignorance. I with my company from Michigan to Orange Beach, Alabama a year ago when it moved (software development job), so I'm still a bit new to the area. I want to start taking tests towards an MCSD. Help me out. What are my options? I don't esspecially want to take a bunch of time off to do this, I need it to work around my day work schedule. Should I do some kind of online/CD-ROM training? Are there training centers in my area that offer courses in the evenings? -Mike

That makes me an MCAD.NET. I passed 70-316, 70-315 and 70-320 in that order. I used Amit Kalani's books and MeasureUp practice exams. I also had work experience with all of the technologies which was a big help. In my opinion, only hands on experience and a good study guide (like Kalani's) are needed to pass the exams. The MeasureUp practice exams were useful in pointing out a few areas were I needed to study, but in the final analysis they only served to improve my passing score. Death from Above

How long will MCAD exams be offered?

Will Microsoft stop offering the MCAD exams when the VS2005 exams are
released? In other words, if I pass 2 of 3 MCAD exams and the VS2005 exams
arrive, will I have a chance to take the 3rd?

Thanks,

Nate

Hi,

As far as I know, exams are outdated when the product they relate to
advances two versions, i.e., VS .NET 2003 exams will be valid until the
version after 2005 appears (2007 or who knows when),

Hope it helps,

The exams will be valid, but does that mean they'll still be offered? I
know the certification earned will still be in effect, but can I still sit
for an MCAD exam after the 2005 exams arrive?

You can still write the exam as long as the exam is not retired. It should
be around couples yrs after the new ver release.

Exams might change but there might be an upgrade path offered, so depending
in which exams you have not taken, you will have to appear in a equivalent
exam for VS 2005.
