  • 1. New C# Exams for VS2005
I have noticed that there are no c# or vb-specific exams for VS2005 like there is for VS2003. Are there going to be? If not, then why? ~cj
  • 2. MCSD, MCAD, MCTS, MCPD, confused
Hi everyone, I'm just getting started on this Microsoft Certification Business and I'm a little confused. I want to get certified in .NET 2.0/Visual Studio 2005 and I have a few questions Q1> I am right in saying there's no MCSD for Framework version 2.0? Q2> How many exams do I need to pass in order to become an MCTS(Technology Specialist) Q3> Do I need to take an exam for 70-536 (.NET Developer Foundation) or can I just go straight onto Core Data Access and Advanced data access (70-526 and 70-528)? Thanks in advance!
  • 3. System.Web.Services Namespace missing
I've just started studying .Net so this might be a newbie question. In my text book for the 70-305 Exam it lists several System.Web namespaces that I should become familiar with. The problem is that when I use the Object Browser to look them up one seems to be missing. I can't find System.Web.Services namespace anywhere. Is there a reason for this that I have overlooked? If it helps I am using VS 2003 .Net to take the test. Thanks.
  • 4. 70-316 Subject Areas Covered
I've been taking online exams for the 70-316 but the Microsoft exams have stuff that I really hadn't covered such as SOAP and extensive XML and web stuff. I know this is important stuff to know but is it on the 70-316 or is it more VS2005-certification-oriented? thanks, cj

The function with a $ are returning a string result. Function without it,
returns a Variant. Sinve you should stay away from Variants when possible,
you should always use the $ version.
