  • 1. passing scores
Hello, I am using the Transcender material to study for the 70- 306 test, and it shows a passing grade as 85%. However, the information here on the Microsoft site shows a passing grade as 700/1000. Can anyone explain the change? Are the standards for passing the exams actually lower now? Thanks for your help. Hi everyone! :) Iam currently planning to start studying for the 70-305 (Web Applications with Visual Basic.NET) exam. My background in IT is BachelorDegree in information Technology and 2 years working experince (mostly simple ASP,SQL and VB6 stuff, half year simple I now want to start on an MCAD cert and in that regard have some questions about the 70-305 exam which iam going to take first: 1. Which book is the best? , i have heared a lot og positive things about Gunderloy's book... 2. Which exam pratice tests are the best ? I have heared that Transcender no longer closely follows the actual exam questions... 3. After going through Gunderloy/MSPress/or whatever book you guys suggest AND doing some exam pratice tests - will I be ready for taking the test or will some extra reading be requiered (books, guides, msdn etc) ? I have heared that the stuff is a little "weak" in the books... 4. Anyone have a good book for 70-305 for sale ? Any reply will be appreciated :) btw: Sorry for my bad english - iam from Norway!

The Microsoft training kit book MCAD/MCSD Self-Paced Training Kit: Developing XML Web Services and Server Components with Microsoft Visual Basic .NET and Microsoft C# .NET will be your guide to the XML.

For XML basics , you can take any primer like Learning XML,

BTW, I was wondering if this test is a Computer Adaptive
Test or conventional test. In other words, in the test,
are you allowed to modify the answers of the previous
questions? Say I am answering question #20 now, can I
return to #5 and change the answer for #5 ?

Kalani has two books per exam one is the big one, blue in color, the other is small and under the Cram 2 title.
My question is, are the test questions exactly the same? I have the blue book but am looking for some more questions without spending $100 for a 100 question test program.

I love the Kalani blue training guides, but in all honesty, the sample
questions in that book, and in the red Exam Cram, just aren't good
enough unless you really mastered the material in every detail.

Kalani's questions seem good for a knowledge level, but the real test
is more of a comprehension level test.
